Royal Blood Part 3
Royal Blood Part 3: “Well aren't we lucky that the servants were so kind as to replace the curtains I tore down the night before last, is it time to take them down again?” Izabella says as she throws open the curtains, rudely waking Raven and Andrea. The pair fell asleep sideways on the bed, their legs hanging as they lay on top of the covers. It is clear to see they were extremely tired when they went to bed the night before.

Mr. Banker
Tom held a piece of information so valuable it kept him alive. He had worked for Renaissance City Bank for fifteen years, starting as an intern in college and working his way up to bank manager. Not once in those fifteen years had he ever been robbed, much less held at gunpoint. That changed in an instant. He was now on the lobby floor looking up the barrel of a shotgun, and the grimy man on the other end was in no mood to waste time.

No Contest
I am a Terma, someone who finds treasures from long ago by religious instinct. You are born Terma. It is not a vocation or skill that can be learned or honed. It is more of a declaration by one or more gods to assist humanity by revitalizing the lost knowledge of the past.

If This, Then That: Fascinating Horror and Associated Channels
Media consumption is an exercise in associations. When you finish watching a new movie or show, the memories you formed follow you to the next piece of media you consume. (Accurately speaking, the process doesn't stop; it's the next piece, and the next, and the next). The more media you consume, the bigger this web of impressions and experiences becomes. The bigger the web becomes, the more connections you're able to propagate. You start to find conceptual similarities between the media pieces that attract you, and as time progresses, your ability to communicate these similarities improves. This ability is foundational to the art of creating an effective, associative media recommendation: the art of 'if this, then that.' In this essay, it's precisely what I hope to do. My media choice is a lesser-known YouTube series whose creator goes by the username, 'Fascinating Horror.' Henceforth, I will use his username to refer directly to the series.

The Truth Nobody Could Know
The thunder is really loud again. I woke up to the house shaking. The lightning was so bright that I could see outside clear as day. Maybe a glass of water will calm my nerves. It must’ve worked as I woke in my bed confused. The birds were chirping so beautifully. I stood against my window with my daily coffee when I saw a mysterious man creeping around the neighborhood corner. He was dressed in a murky gray sweatshirt and black skin tight jeans. I didn’t recognize him and tried to get a closer look.

Walk of Greed
My eyes quiver open and a pain grasps my neck. “Hello?” I call into the gloom ahead. Nothing answers. I look down and realize I’m sitting, my legs engulfed under a thick fog. So thick, I could not even see them. The first thought that appeared was, is this what I think it is? The total darkness surrounding me was like the ashes from a volcano gravitating down upon eruption. My hands rise from under the fog beneath me. On my right, I hold my black notebook. My eyes wanted to fall out.

The Death of a Native
The Death of a Native My mother brought a new block of land and built a house on that said land. When I would visit the place, it scared me. I didn't want to come out of the car nor would my dog who refused to move. My dog and I are used to travelling and she loves new places, so it wasn't like the fear was from the fact that the place was unfamiliar. I hated that house and I've never had a strong hate for anything not even a house, but that house I wanted nothing to do with it.

The Ashen Horse
She quietly chuckled as she read the morning papers out of Cape Cod, Massachusetts. They had brazen stories about how ‘The Ashen Horse Strikes Again’. She, of course was on the other side of the country having left early the previous morning. The stories reported how the killer had brutalized the two victims. She really thought that was quite unfair, she had been surprisingly efficient and clean in her work. They barely suffered; all things considered. Rumors had it that he deserved three times what he got if half the stories were reliable.

Lucky Lucy
He sat there, feverish and surrounded in his own blood, back pressed awkwardly against the hotel wall. Panic sounded out in the form of his frantic, laboured breaths that echoed throughout the small hallway. He clawed at his neck as bile rose in his throat. He vomited again. The carpet stained crimson.

Brute of the Tree
Slender as a branch but taller than a man, a creature of darkness hovered above a frightened American. There was no noise for an ever-lasting period before a scream of terror shoves out into the wind to blow away. Before the screams could even leave him, he was begging and leading the creature to his camp.

The Payment Forward
Part 1: The Package It all started with one of those special mornings. Missing shoes, spilt coffee, lost keys; it just kept coming. I was in such a hurry to leave the house, not knowing what was waiting for me on the outside of my door. Just what I needed; the ever dreaded, eviction notice. I couldn't believe what was happening! I lost my job a week before this, along with my long-term boyfriend. Nothing had been going my way for a while now and it seemed like I couldn’t sink any lower.

Et Tu?
The rain relieved him of his footing, his face kissed the ground roughly. Scrambling up, Marcus took off again into a quick sprint, clutching the duffel bag to his side. The rain leaked in through his collar, chilling him, there was a taste of blood in his mouth as he unconsciously licked at the newly made gap in his smile, and, oh boy, was he smiling.
