Dreamers of Sin
The dreamers of sin are after me again. This time I don’t know why. They have followed me from Üterlo to Oskerlo. Sin has always followed me but they have been inching closer and closer since I first left a few years ago. I’ve only recently noticed I’ve been running out of hiding places. They were closer to catching me now than they ever have been including when I was just a child. Where could I run now? At this point I feel like you could use some background

Liquid Gold
I waved at the Maitre D as I brushed past the long line of patrons waiting to enter the five-star, high-rise, restaurant. The bar was in directly in front of me and the bottles of liquor and wine shone brilliantly in the ambient lighting. The bartender was fast and efficient, but took her time to get to know each person and make them feel special. Her black slacks and navy top stood out against the cherry wood that encased her work area. Her long chestnut hair was pulled back into a neat bun that left her youthful face free. She stood there cleaning glasses as she laughed with a customer.

The Following Night
I woke up in a log cabin in the mountains. I was unsure as to where I was or what I was doing but as I looked around I realized that the room was empty minus the bed I was on and I was covered in blood, though the blood was not mine. My head was pounding like the day after a long night of vodka and tequila, but I don't remember drinking the night before.

The Boneman
Part One My heart was racing as I drew back the arrow with my bow, trying to breathe steadily and remain focused as the last victim ran frantically, looking for the source of the deaths of all his camp mates. I smirked as he slowed to a pause to examine a fallen brother and WHOOSH! The arrow struck him in the back of the head, and he fell lifeless to the ground with the same pathetic yelp all the others gave. I gave myself a small victory lap by walking around each body on the ground, not even bothering to rob them of what little wealth they likely had before they died by my hand. Luckily, my stealth was completely flawless, and none of them saw it coming. Petty deaths, but victorious ones either way.

The Children are Waking
Abel discarded another shovelful of earth and wiped his brow. It had been a tame winter and though the ground was soft, the morning sun was warm, sending trickles of sweat down his hairline and the back of his neck. Birdsong filled the air and from the short distance to the house, Abel could hear the slam of the backscreen door. He nodded to his brother, Adam. That would be Mother. If Mother was up, then it meant it was almost time for the Wakening. The boys felt a pang of excitement. They had been digging since sunrise, after all.

Gabe
The devil had been prophesied to lose for so long, most of the faithful accepted it as a foregone conclusion, a guaranteed given, a done deal. The problem with knowing the outcome in advance is it makes it impossible to create any real dramatic tension; it doesn’t make a good story in other words. Then there’s the second teeny, tiny problem; sometimes those beliefs and prophecies are just plain wrong.

One Wine Too Many
“Jeremy, stick to your part of the plan, or you will be solely responsible for ruining everything!!” Myrna. Selena could recognize that woman’s shrill hiss anywhere -- even from the secluded bathroom toilet compartment tucked away in the corner of the hugely oversized, and beautifully decorated powder room.
