It’s Dark & Cold, Suddenly the lights went off
It’s Saturday night. Shikha is busy preparing the meal in the kitchen. Suddenly, the lights go off & everything is dark. Luckily, Shikha has got the phone but much to her dismay, it’s without any signals. This startles her however, she soon realizes there is little that can be done about that.

Greedy Granny Grook
‘There!’ he shouted to the sailor, his arm stretched out to the pitch black, ‘Get the lifebelt, damn it. Fast!’ The sailor hurried to sound the alarm and struggled with getting the red and white ring, ‘Felix’ written on it in big black letters, off the wall. The pelting rain and merciless waves threatened to throw him overboard as he ran back to the man. The siren screeched into the night, waking everyone on board. Almost immediately the ship roared in reply, trying to stop its momentum.

Bus
The bus stopped so suddenly that several people were thrown from their seats. How had the driver not seen the child? His attention had been somewhat divided by his conversation with the two older sisters that always sat directly behind him. The irony was the twins usually always offered him suggestions on safety. Had he noticed the light ahead just turned yellow? Did he have time to stop? Had he seen the young woman driver who had just go in her car half a block ahead?

The Midnight Knocker
The parents left without as much as saying goodbye to their children who have nestled in their bed away from the cold still night. Chloe was watching the carriage leave in the moonlight as her white night blew in the cold wind. As the oldest of the family, it was her duty to watch her younger siblings as their parents went off for urgent business that night with the sky pure black with only a few stars that had decided to shine.

Underneath the bed of roses
It had been three days since I last stepped foot outside of my quite English cottage, you see I live high up in the mountains of Washington state in this little cottage by myself.
