Voices in the Night: Finding Light in the Darkness

Voice of Resilience

In the pitch-black room, I lay paralyzed,

Whispers cling to shadows, each creak a ghostly lament.

"Do you feel it?" she asks, voice trembling like flickering candlelight.

Thoughts race through civil rights, women's rights,

LGBTQIA rights, and mankind's rights shattered.

The First Amendment laws broken, government agenda. Slaughtered by Holocaust.

History books rewrite slavery's truth, erasing our past,

Outlets of pain and knowledge replaced by divisive blasts.

Voice of Defiance

Female homicides rise, especially in our African American kin,

"There's something in the cellar," he mutters, eyes wide with dread.

"I heard it too," she replies, her tone steady despite the fear tightening her grip.

Boys were slain at random, and people of color were hunted in a deadly spin.

Clubs, festivities, Diddler parties, Malls, Dollar Trees, That Dollar General be that coin be that is the head General that makes humankind humanmean no longer treating each other as human beings!— Everywhere we turn, fear reigns!

Public buses burn, communities are in flames, and nothing remains.

Voice of Resilience

Yet in this chaos, amidst the hell, we endure,

"We shouldn't be here," he hisses, the wind's moan echoing his unease.

"It's too late now," she whispers back, footsteps echoing down the darkened hallway.

I write, striving for Amazon's best, New York Times' allure.

Grants for lingerie, a finalist's hope in sight, A tall oak tree.

I breeze through rain, snow, heat, and wind's fierce might.

Voice of Defiance

Songs and poetry reflect our harsh reality,

Jazmine Sullivan's echoes of Bagging Bodies, Grammy's finality.

Poetry groups form, strategies amid speech's demise,

Refusing life's charades, rejecting complacency's lies.

Voice of Resilience

Moonlit thoughts in my pitch-black room,

Designs on universal checks, a name carved in bold,

Letters to government agents, threats untold.

Every step weighed underneath the government's looming doom. Navigating mazes, chasing cheese through lab rat days,

Earth's scent, sun's count, cosmic mysteries ablaze.

Voice of Defiance

Black, women, LGBTQIA, and adult entertainers fight,

Feminine power they fear but crave in night's plight.

Witchcraft knows feminine's strength, defying delusional men,

Body, privacy, rights—God's decree, not theirs, then.

Voice of Resilience

War brings nothing good, controls their aim,

In stilettos and cute outfits, I reclaim my flame.

Voice of Defiance

"They want less of us, yet need our light,"

"Why did you bring us here?" he demands, fear turning his words sharp.

"To uncover the truth," she answers, determination masking the tremor in her voice.

Dialogue Poem

Resilience: In shadows deep, our truths we find,

Defiance:Amid the chaos, strength combined.

Resilience: Voices rising, hearts entwined,

Defiance:Together, we leave fear behind.

Resilience: In unity, our spirits climb,

Defiance:Breaking chains of space and time.

Resilience: Light in darkness, hope's pure chime,

Defiance:Our destinies, we redefine.

Verse 1

In the dark I lie, paralyzed,

Dreams of rights and freedoms rise,

Shattered truths, obscured in a haze,

First Amendment lost in the fray.

Doors creak open, footsteps near,

Whispers echo, shadows fear,

Seasons' scents in bitter cold,

Taste of rain, stories untold.

Chorus

Sons and daughters, lost in flames,

Streets ablaze with silent names,

In the nightmare, we survive,

In the darkness, we're still alive.

Verse 2

Through rain and snow, heat and wind,

Walking strong, where hope begins,

Stars above, guiding light,

Counting moons in cosmic flight.

Songs of pain and dreams we chase,

Grammys' stage, a fearless race,

Voices rise against the storm,

Truths are unveiled in every form.

Chorus

Sons and daughters, lost in flames,

Streets ablaze with silent names,

In the nightmare, we survive,

In the darkness, we're still alive.

Bridge

Stilettos stomp, with strength we rise,

Feminine power, defying lies,

Letters penned, our voices loud,

Breaking free from the silent shroud.

Hook

"They want less of us, but need our light,"

Coming out the shadows, we ignite,

Standing tall, fearless, and strong,

Leaving the nightmare, where humans never belonged.

Chorus

Sons and daughters, lost in flames,

Streets ablaze with silent names,

In the nightmare, we survive,

In the darkness, we're still alive.

Together (Dialogue Poetry)

They want less, yet need our light,

In shadows deep, we stand, we fight.

Voices rise, truths ignite,

In unity, our hearts unite.

Reclaiming destinies, weaving our story,

Limitless stars, our truth's glory.

Elegy

In the pitch-black room, where shadows whisper of civil rights and shattered dreams, voices of resilience and defiance echo loud. Amidst the labyrinth of obscured truths and societal decay, they tread carefully, piling up bodies on bodies, wary of every step in Hollyweird's dance. History's rewritten pages bear scars of erased narratives, yet hope flickers resilient against the dark. Through rain-soaked perseverance and cosmic contemplation, they write their truth in stilettos, crafting verses that echo Jazmine Sullivan's defiance and Grammy aspirations while analyzing, reflecting, reprojecting, and redirecting sloppily. Their journey, a testament to feminine strength and unwavering resolve, defies the shadows that seek to dim their light. With each beat, they reclaim their voices, standing firm against the murky depths of a reality that tests their courage and resilience.
