It was early in the morning, he had just got dropped off by the driver that picked him up. The day was almost over for him as he made it in. There wear a few cars broke down as he was hiking along the desert and canyon ridge. He had not made it to the gorge, yet. He needed to take photos along the trail to make. It was just winter and spring was coming. He needed for sales, but he would make it for the year. The danger was coming on him or at least the feeling of it.

"Hey, thanks again." He smiled.

"Have a nice day!" The driver said as he went on.

The town had started talking around him he could not help, but noticed the rumors around. He had hurried in the store he could not find, what he needed, the drinks were at a good price. Later, he had found himself in the town center. He had started to charge his effects, with cold pressing on him. They pressured him to the community center while he sat there. He could not, but notice the mom across the street with her two kids.

"Off, I go." He smiled not knowing what to expect.

He had cleaned up and sorted his pack. The street felt long in his mind even though just an hour. The walk ended with ease and awe. The line wasn't long. They had gave him food to save him. He was grateful for the meal. All he had to do was make it the week. The two merchandising gigs he had lined up was enough to fill his time.

" Hey, how are you?" He whispered low and to himself as the morning went on.

The day seemed lonely as it was a few days earlier. He went on for the morning walk as normal. Had to get you use to homeless shelter food for a few days. The neighborhood just looked at him and whispered still. He could feel them judging him. Why he didn't know, yet? He had found a place to camp off the stoned ridge by a crack in a canyon. He could stay warm there.

"Hi." She said calmly.

"Hey, how are you?" He replied to her.

It was the mom he had spotted a little earlier. She was nice slightly tall with a medium build. Her kids were running around him as the town stared. They stayed in conversation for a bit, but he had to run on. She smiled as they parted. Unfortunately, he had a time schedule on him and lucky for her the town already thought down on him. He ran quick down to the campsite. Where he was able to make fire and rest.

"Your sleeping well!" The man hollered out.

Morning had come he couldn't see the tourist as he went away from his sight. The nerve of a few he thought to himself to disturb rest. His morning was made, though. With little rest he went on his way. A tourist town that don't stop, he thought. Tomorrow was his merchandising gig. He had it made in a way. work a shift, write, than sell in his online garage sale. The easy life to himself. It was worth it, just had to go back to selling pictures online. While he was walking through the quiet town.

"Shut it." A man hollered out.

He heard in the distance, but ignored it. He had assumed it was a carpenter or builder. He went on his way back to the campsite. The gig had started going good. His co-worker complained about his teeth and dental. He was old and unafraid. She was ready, new and spunky. He knew she would wear out in time.

"So, how long have you been doing this?" He asked.

"This is my first day?" She replied with a smile.

"Your going to love it." He smiled back.

The gig was over just one more to go in the other town across the area. The county was small indeed, but was ready. He had a few days to burn and not much to waste. He had learned that life wasn't to rush by. A few days to pass. He was headed to the park to plan. He kept hearing holloring it was going on night time. They kept looking at him calling homeless man. The danger was real enough to believe.

"It was with no shame!" A driver hollered at him.

"Okay!" He hollered back to him.

The night went on without a doubt. He rested well. The next day was bright and warmer than most. He was smiling to himself, as they laughed around town. The gas station clerk smiled kindly to him, she was the sweetest amongst them all. He got his supplies than headed out. While he was packing he saw the young couple. He was hollering with no end. She was almost in tears. Had to show out front.

"You need me to call nine-one-one?" He hollered back down the street .

The street went quiet it was turning dark. He started to size a hotel. He went back to the town square as he looked around panicked. The mom he met before was there eating with her kids.

He went up to her and said "Hi."

"How are you?"

It was late and the street lights already on. He had to wonder if they were safe? If she was safe? He explained what he saw. to her as she ate with her mouth full looking at him. It was always a wonder in itself. HE learned more on the couple.

"We have to help!" He begged.

"But what can we do to stop it." She said angry. "Your a homeless writer in this state."

"That is leaving in a few days."

"Okay, but what?"

"Police can't stop it something will."

"What if we video it or something?"

"No."

"Yes."

"Okay."

While the kids in the park walked around them in another tongue. She finished her meal and cleaned her kids up. She turned back , and waved hi to him on accident. Than he thought what if an accident happened to him.

"Hey." He slipped a note to her the next day.

She smiled and met him back at the hotel. It was a cheap and greasy. The floor boards weren't coming up, yet. The lights were dim. The pool area clouded. She came alone around mid-night. When all had slept by themselves.

"What?" She silently hollered.

"What if we kill him?"

"NO!"

"C'mon."

"NO!"

"We have to. It's just a matter of time, till she passes."

She started to cry on the subject. She had seen her bruises before and knew to much. The danger, but how? She had wondered to herself.

"You bring him to me, than I'll finish him off."

"I'm sexy, but not enough. He will just follow anything?"

"Your beautiful, he won't miss a chance to hurt her. You know this."

"And I can't be beautiful, okay!"

"Macho Bravado, Brave Man."

"Won't miss a hit, slime. Let's kill him."

She came in a kiss. The night was sweet in the air. She had left early in the morning. The plan was sit to stop the violence in their life. They couldn't neglect what had happened. The night was passionate for them. The next day the plan went according. He had disappeared in the evening. She was safe now, so was the town. He finished his last gig and left. His hiking trip was now done. They would always miss each other in his mind. The family healed without him. She was safe now.
