24. SULTAN ABDUL MOMIN (TM 1852-1885)

He ascended the throne in 1852. He had no offspring. In 1853, made an agreement with James Brooke regarding the rights of power of both parties. In 1856, made an agreement with the British regarding the trial of British citizens who committed criminal offenses and conflicts in Brunei. In 1858, Pengiran Shahbandar Pengiran Muhammad Salleh was killed after being strangled by traitors who were hostile to him. In 1877, made an agreement with Gustavus Baron de Overback and Alfred Dent regarding the leasing of Brunei territories in Sabah. He died in 1885 when he was over 100 years old.

25. SULTAN HASHIM JALILUL ALAM AQAMADDIN (TM 1885-1906)

His Majesty ascended the throne in 1885. In 1887, made a written request to the Queen's Government to establish a British Resident in Limbang but was not approved by the Queen's Government due to financial problems. In 1888, made an agreement with the British by placing the control of Brunei's foreign relations under the British administration. His Majesty protected in 1906

26. SULTAN MUHAMMAD JAMALUL ALAM II (TM 1906-1924)

He ascended the throne in 1906, when he was 17 years old. In 1906, the establishment of the Brunei Police Force; Brunei has its own National Flag. In 1911, the Malay School was established. In 1922, development plans began to be actively carried out. During His Majesty's era, oil exploration was actively carried out. In 1922 moved from Istana Kampong Ayer to Istana Majlis. His Majesty protected in 1924.

27. SULTAN AHMAD TAJUDDIN (TM 1924-1950)

He ascended the throne in 1924 at the age of 11. In 1927, inaugurated the opening of the Brunei-Tutong road. In 1929, inaugurated the opening of Brunei City Hospital. The same year oil was discovered in Seria. In 1932, left to visit England and Europe. In 1941, Japan occupied Brunei. In 1945, the Allied Forces landed in Brunei. While in 1946, the National Anthem of Brunei was first composed by Awang Besar Sagap and composed by Yura Halim. In 1946, took over command from the British Military Administration (BMA). In 1949, celebrated the Silver Jubilee of 25 years of rule. His Majesty protected in 1950.

28. SULTAN OMAR 'ALI SAIFUDDIEN III (TM 1950-1967)

In 1947, he was paraded as Pengiran Bendahara. In 1950, ascended the throne. In 1951, performed Fardhu Haj for the first time. In 1951, proposed a relocation plan for the residents of Kampong Ayer to land; Brunei's National Anthem 'Allah Peliharakan Sultan' is officially recognized. In 1953, submitted a proposal for the Brunei State Written Constitution. In 1953, began to establish an English School; began building the Great Mosque in Brunei City which was completed in 1958, named the Omar 'Ali Saifuddien Mosque. In 1953, received the Grand Star from Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II who carried the title 'Sir'. In 1955, made the first Five-Year National Development Plan. In 1957, Radio Brunei started broadcasting. In 1959, Shell Brunei Oil Company Berhad began drilling for oil offshore; signing and promulgating the Written Constitution of the State of Brunei in Lapau, Bandar Brunei. In 1961, established the Brunei Malay Military Force which was later known as the Royal Brunei Armed Forces; proposed establishment of the Federation of Malaya (Malaysia). In 1962, performed Fardhu Haj for the second time; rebellion broke out in Brunei. In 1963, Brunei decided not to join Malaysia. In 1967, Brunei issued its own currency. He went abroad more than 33 times between 1951 - 1967, in 1967, he abdicated from the royal throne, taking the title of His Majesty Sultan Haji Omar 'Ali Saifuddien Sa'adul Khairi Waddien. His Majesty protected in 1986.
