The Black Hawk war is what historians called it but to some of the native Americans that survived after generations they call it a symbol and there voices refusing not to be heard. As the first people to step foot on new world soil. The Sac tribe was one of many that called the Mississippi home and for thousands of years that's where they receded in a village named Saukenuk. Once the early settler came they demanded independence from England. The American territories was then given to them and the Americans decided to branch out further west and when they did so they came across more and more natives on lands they wanted to cultivate. During those days the civil war was over and the industrial revolution began to make life for busy Chicagoans easier. A larger group of people fleeing from there European nations began to flood the streets of Chicago more and more. Once the first factories came to town there was a need of increasing work to be done.
