The recent international situation is complex, with the Russia-Ukraine conflict intensifying and tensions in the Taiwan Strait and South China Sea growing increasingly tense.

Many people have started to worry that World War III may be imminent.

If World War III were to break out in the future and our country was unfortunately invaded by an enemy, we must hold on to these ten cities to be invincible.

Among them, there is also a third-tier city. Do you know which one it is?

●—≺ Hold on to 10 cities ≻—●

Of course, World War III is just a hypothetical situation, but the current international situation is very bad, the Russia-Ukraine conflict is getting worse, and the issues in the Taiwan Strait and South China Sea are becoming more tense. We should also prepare for the worst and have some countermeasures.

But some people may think that defense is useless, and World War III will definitely be the world of nuclear weapons. Indeed, if nuclear-armed countries use nuclear weapons, the world will be over, and there will be nowhere to hide, so there is no defense to speak of.

However, nuclear weapons are not so easily used, unless the world is in chaos and the United States doesn't want to live anymore, and it is crazy to instigate Ukraine and Russia. So basically, nuclear weapons are the last line of defense.

If there are no nuclear weapons, World War III can only use conventional weapons. If a country is targeting China, all of China's coastal cities will be the first to be threatened.

Coastal cities are the economic development centers of China, and their importance to China is self-evident. But if World War III really happens, coastal cities are not as important as these ten inland cities. As long as these ten cities are held, China can be protected.

First, there are three cities in the Central Plains that must be defended: Luoyang, Xuzhou, and Wuhan.

The Central Plains area is a plain area in China, very suitable for growing crops. The whole of Henan is the main grain-producing area in China. Once the war starts, food is the most important thing, otherwise, there would be no saying like "the army moves, and the grain and grass go first."

In addition to food, Luoyang is also a place for industrial development in China, and it is also a transportation hub between the inland of the west and the coastal area of the east. So the geographical location of Luoyang is also very important.

Xuzhou is an important point for the enemy to invade the north. There are hills and water systems around Xuzhou, which is a natural defense barrier. In ancient times, Xuzhou was easy to defend and difficult to attack. There is also a saying in ancient times, "To defend the river, you must defend the Huai, to defend the Huai, you must defend Xu, to defend Xu, you must defend the river."

This highlights the importance of Xuzhou. It connects the north and the south, and its geographical location is particularly important. Especially in modern times, Xuzhou's hub is very convenient, and you can go to all parts of China from Xuzhou. Once Xuzhou is lost, China's connection hub will be blocked.

Looking at Wuhan, although Wuhan is in the southern region, it is very important to the Central Plains because it is the largest transportation hub in the inland of China. Through the transportation hub of Wuhan, you can connect to various places in the Central Plains. Moreover, Wuhan is also one of China's most important industrial bases.

Then, in the Northeast region, there are also two cities that must be defended: Shenyang is the center of the Northeast Asian economic circle, and it is a transportation hub for China's exchanges with Russia, North Korea, and other regions.

Moreover, Shenyang has developed industry and commerce, especially in industry, the industrial chain is very complete. You can find all kinds of important industries in China here, so from all aspects, Shenyang must be protected.

Anshan is also the same, some friends may not have been to Anshan, but they must have heard of Anshan Steel. Ansteel Group is also called the "cradle of China's steel industry." Anshan's iron ore is one of the main iron ore-producing areas in the country, and it is the most important steel industry after the founding of New China.

The importance of steel is self-evident, so Anshan may be an important target for the enemy, but it must be firmly defended.

Next is the Southwest region. The Sichuan Basin is called the "treasure basin" and "Land of Abundance" because the Sichuan Basin is rich in resources, produces a lot of food, and is also an important economic development area. Everything needed for war is available in the Sichuan Basin.

Not to mention the natural barrier also makes it easy to defend and difficult to attack. Since ancient times, the Sichuan Basin has been a place where the military competes, and it has a special strategic defensive significance.

The Sichuan Basin is surrounded by mountains, and "The Difficult Road to Shu" is a description of the danger of the Bashu area. How to protect such a place is very simple, just hold Chongqing and Chengdu.

Chongqing is a mountain city, but its geographical location is very important to the Sichuan Basin. Chongqing is a heavy town in the upper reaches of the Yangtze River, and protecting Chongqing can protect the Sichuan Basin.

Chengdu is also the same. It is also located on the edge of the Sichuan Basin. If you want to enter the Sichuan Basin, you must pass through Chengdu, so holding Chengdu can protect the Sichuan Basin.

Finally, in the Northwest region, Taiyuan, Xi'an, and Lanzhou are important cities in the Northwest region. Taiyuan is called the "Dragon City," and it has the important geographical location of "holding the four passes and controlling the five original cities." The important point of China's North is Taiyuan, so Taiyuan cannot be lost.

Xi'an is a transportation hub connecting China's central and eastern regions and the Northwest region, with very convenient transportation. In addition, Xi'an's economy, education, and technology are all key points in the country.

Lanzhou, for the entire Northwest region, the importance of Lanzhou is irreplaceable. It is the throat of the Northwest region and an important transportation hub between the Central Plains and the Western Regions.

Moreover, Lanzhou is also called "Jincheng," which is not to say that there are many gold in Lanzhou, but to say "Jincheng Tangchi, solid as a fortress."

In ancient times, where to resist the attack of the Western Xia Dynasty, it was stationed in Lanzhou. The ancient Silk Road, Lanzhou is also an important node. For the modern era, Lanzhou is also very important. If there is a war, although Lanzhou is in the inland, it is very close to the frontier. If there is any problem on the frontier, you can support and protect the inland from Lanzhou, so Lanzhou must be firmly protected.

The above ten cities are the ones that our country must defend well, but this does not mean that other cities are not important, just that these ten are more important.

Moreover, the current weapons are very advanced, and the troops will arrive before the missiles, so the defense system is the top priority for our country.

However, it is best not to have a war. For the common people, wartime is the most painful day, and the post-war recovery is the most enduring. Our country has always maintained a peaceful attitude on the international stage, not picking up trouble, as long as it is not too much, it can continue to cooperate, but if it encounters a bad one, our country is not afraid of things, and is not afraid of anyone.
