---INTERESTING FACT---

Everyone on Earth is at most fiftieth cousin with everyone else. And in fact people who are in the same country or share ethnicity with you are likely to be related to you within 10 past generations meaning they are around your tenth cousin.

---INTERESTING FACT---

Several years ago a study was done on the length of one's family tree and the results according to the geneticists revealed that every person no matter the race is closely related to any other human by approximately fiftieth cousin and in fact most are a lot closer than that.

Several studies have been done after that one. The genetic evidence of relatedness where genetic studies were done and DNA tested to trace a single human origin. Analysis of mitochondrial DNA research and Y-chromosome studies and genome -wide studies have been done.

Cultural and Historical investigations have also been done , where migration patterns and their implications , cultural exchange and it's impact on shared history and commonalities in ancient civilizations have been explored. Let's not forget the Religious view of how we are all descendants of Adam and Eve. But I don't look at it from any of this view points not because I don't believe them but because I belive this fact with simple thinking.

My thoughts are based on our family patterns. I won't say that I did some accurate Math to come to this conclusion but lets say if you are given a penny and they double it for the next 30 days by the end of the month it is going to be $5368709.12 and that is just a penny. Using the same concept imagine your generation doubling each previous generation 50 times.

Consider a family with 2 kids and they at least have 4 first cousins this means the tree will go down increasing that they will have about 1000 fifth cousins. So if you keep expanding the circle to all their relatives the range of fiftieth cousins will cover the billions of people on the planet.

This also means that somehow our families tree merge into one at some point after they have spread into our ancestries for about fifty generations. I mean can you imagine your family and the relatives that you are aware of the way you are so many within and outside your country. Then imagine each of those relatives family and how they are related to other thousands upon thousands of people that you don't know and that cycle continues.

As the cycle continues it will bring about "inbreeding" for lack of a better term. Your family tree will have expanded and developed so many branches that two people from the same ancestry will intermarry and thus somehow merge the tree again. Going with this logic then it means that in a country two people will only go back like 4 to 5 generations before they find a common ancestor. If this two people are of the same ethnicity then they are going back even fewer steps to find a common ancestor.

This then means that if you go back around 40 to 50 generations in our family trees we will all have a common ancestor. When you think about immigration, cultural exchange and inter-racial marriages which leads to connection of different family trees in different states and continents it comes to no surprise that you finally find yourself related to the Kardashians, Obamas , Ronaldo and Messi and each person that you can think of. We are just one global kinship.

I wish we could go back and find our most recent common ancestor to just know and understand the history of that one person and how they trace back to all of us but I wonder how far back we would go. Any way it seems like an impossibility because it would mean going back in each and everyone's family tree in the world.

If we project this to the future then it means that one of us alive today will be a common ancestor to everyone in the world thousands of years to come. Which also means that at some point those of us who will leave kids will be ancestors to all of the human race. Like someone said, what an inheritance!
