Procter has revealed he's one of the two production designers working on Avatar 3. He is responsible for "The hard-surface technology of it all," and the other designer is in charge of Pandora's World.

Procter believes that Avatar 3 is a huge project, and it's great to be able to share the work. It is good to have two production designers."

Avatar 3 Release Date

Avatar 3 was delayed from December 20, 2020, to December 19, 2025. Avatar 3 release date has been delayed multiple times due to various factors. One of these is the production shutdowns that COVID-19 caused. James Cameron, director of Avatar 3, wanted to have all five Avatar scripts ready before production started. One Avatar was never made.

Rodriguez told The Independent she and Cameron had discussed bringing Trudy back from the dead in Avatar 3. The actor revealed, "When Jim Cameron was with me, he recently asked, 'What if Michelle returned'? Many characters were back. You can't turn me into a martyr. I died as .">.'"

Cliff Curtis returns as Tonowari, the Metkayina chief, and Ronal, his wife. Payakan (via Empire) and his nemesis Mick Scoresby will return, played by Brendan Cowell. Scoresby wants revenge on Payakan after he caused him to lose his arm.

In the third film, there will be some newcomers. David Thewlis plays a secret role, Michelle Yeoh plays Dr. Karina Mogue and Game of Thrones stars Oona Chaplin as Varang.

Varang is the leader of the Ash People. This "violent volcanic race" will be introduced in the third sequel. Cameron will introduce two new Na'vi cultures in his next film.

In an interview with Deadline, the director described "the Windtraders" as "people that travel, trade, and do other things." Windtraders is also the name of Disney World's Pandora World of Avatar area. Is this a coincidence or a design?
