What movie do you recommend? What show should I watch next?

The average American considers binge watching anywhere from 2-6 episodes.

Anywhere from 3-5 times have I personally seen a social media user post for Netflix, Hulu, Disney +, and any streaming app recommendations. We are wired for suggestions from others especially if that includes our circle of friends. We seek direction and in hopes that someone could guide us to our best movie/show yet!

I am guilty of asking a good friend, however could never seem to find myself ask on social media because for someone who is an introvert, deals with anxiety, and worries about posting certain things on social media I would rather much ask in private. I am guilty of not sending someone a good movie to watch because I felt that I would be a bother or yikes what if they do not like it and I will be to blame!

I am also guilty of finishing a good show and immediately want my friend to watch it because it was so good, but typically forget or I’ll say something like “Oh, I’ll just send it later.” Later usually turns into never and having something that will not let me forget and knowing that there is this cool application that allows me to send instantly is something I and others would love!

What is a great formula that could work for introverts and extroverts?

An ideal objective would be on the app under a tab to have an option where a chat box would be created for each genre and anyone would be able to type out their name of their favorite and recommended show or movie. Write out a brief description. Each user would be given a generated username meaning the application would give out the name using numbers, letters, or symbols. This way the individual has some pressure taken off their shoulders knowing their real name is not being used.

A user would be able to click on the genre based on their preference and scroll until they believe they found something worthy enough and fully be convinced. There is power in an individual scrolling and scrolling. We scroll all day on Instagram, Twitter, and TikTok. If a user is constantly seeing the same name of that movie/show it might be enough for them to start watching and who knows be there new favorite feature!

A person is inclined to sharing their preference and receiving and what better way for someone to write out and also acquire. Or even if it is the one or the other, users could type out their show/movie.

Ex: All American-show- based on HS football, family, & friendship drama. Based on a real life story. Watch this goodie!

A simple entry would be enough to capture my attention, but a user could write out what they believe would be enough for someone to watch that specific movie or show! A user would choose under what genre they want to submit under, After selecting, a written brief entry, next it would be sent in similar to a text message.

If one is not recommending and simply wanting to look at recommendations one would select the genre they want to watch

Ex: *Clicks* romance selection. *Scrolls*

Finds an entry that reads

The Wedding Planner- Movie-based on a woman whose life is flipped upside down because her career which ead her straight to love.

An option would be given to type or scroll through all these text messages from different strangers but more like their movie/show lovers Community! What better way to get your TV and movie recommendations from those who enjoy watching and binge viewing!

-I would be more than willing to assist more on this project to make it a reality. Usually typing it all out is far from making sense and I am a visualizer who has tons of ideas for this app to not only work, but to get folks talking!
