Melanie Stone as Allison

I really enjoyed 2020's Deadly Resolutions films from Lifetime; it was an impressive batch of movies. Among the group was Her Deadly Reflections, which was also known as Shattered Memories, and the alternate title was fitting, as it centered on memory loss. The unfortunate recipient was Kelly Moore, an art gallery owner who kicks off the film by being shoved though her upstairs bedroom window before ending up in a car accident. Kelly survives it all and is hospitalized, and she is visited by the three people closest to her: Kelly's husband Dan Moore, her best friend/employee Allison, and Allison's husband Logan.

Now while Kelly did survive the fall and the accident, she was left with memory loss, and we see Kelly go on a quest to regain her memories from the night in question. It becomes a perilous one when Kelly's life ends up endangered, and in addition, Kelly believed that Dan was having an affair. The belief was suggested by Allison, who informed Kelly that there were photos of Dan with another woman, and she also revealed that on that evening, she and Kelly argued, though she dismissed it as nothing more than a silly spat.

Kelly did learn that she hired Martinez, a private investigator, to look into the affair claims, but Kelly later finds Martinez stabbed to death in his office. A carbon monoxide leak hits the Moore household, and Dan ends up attacked near the pool and hospitalized, though Dan does explain the "other woman" to Kelly: she was his cousin. So Dan's definitely not cheating, but another question looms: who is behind the attacks? The main suspect became Logan, who was revealed to be stealing Kelly's money while serving as her manager, and a confrontation at the gallery sees Logan confess not only to the embezzlement, but to actually killing Martinez, as he was on to him. Logan's motive: Kelly--he was in love with her, though Kelly accused Logan of attacking her on that fateful night. Logan admitted to everything else, but denied attacking Kelly, and afterwards, he was suddenly stabbed to death from behind.

Allison confronting Kelly in a flashback scene

Logan's killer was revealed as none other than Allison, and after that, the rest of the true story was revealed. During Logan's confession, flashback scenes showed Logan professing his love for Kelly at her home, but afterwards, additional scenes showed Allison confronting Kelly, as she tracked Logan to Kelly's house. Allison vented over Logan having affections for Kelly, who informed her longtime friend that she had no interest in Logan and that they can move on from what occurred. However, Allison wasn't interested in moving on, as she grabbed a knife and chased Kelly to her upstairs bedroom, and that's where they had their aforementioned "silly spat." Allison continued ranting about how she was always compared to Kelly; voicing her intense jealousy of Kelly before shoving her friend out the window. Kelly entered her car and drove off, while Allison continued to pursue her, leading to the accident.

Allison and Kelly fought at the rooftop of the gallery, where more revelations occurred. Though Logan did kill Martinez, it was Allison who was behind everything else. The madwoman intentionally caused the carbon monoxide leak in an attempt to kill Kelly, and she attacked Dan outside the pool, with Allison revealing that she committed the latter so Kelly would know what it was like to lose a husband. Allison later wrapped her hands around Kelly's throat, while commenting that she had nothing to lose, but in the end, both women ended up going over the rooftop, with Allison falling to her death while Kelly hung on and saved herself.

Her Deadly Reflections aired on Lifetime Movie Network on January 2, 2020, and featured Melanie Stone as Allison, the film's hidden main villainess. Allison was one of the reasons why I enjoyed 2020's Deadly Resolutions during that first week of the year; she was an amazing villainess, one of the best I've seen on Lifetime in the last five years. Allison was completely deranged and obsessed; the film made it abundantly clear that Allison truly despised Kelly, and she basically allowed her insecurities and bitterness to consume her and turn her into an unhinged madwoman. She was also quite cunning as well; Allison used Kelly's memory loss to mask her evil side, allowing her to hide in plain sight as she continued to make attempts to eliminate Kelly. I loved Allison's climactic reveal because of how it began (stabbing Logan in the back, literally), and it gave us flashbacks of Allison's vicious demeanor.

Melanie Stone's portrayal of Allison was spectacular; she acted out Allison's kindness very well in the early scenes, but she truly showed out in Allison's reveal. From that point on, we see Stone go all in on Allison's madness, especially in the flashback scenes where she confronts and attempts to kill Kelly. Melanie Stone's only other Lifetime film was The Killing Pact, where she played Melanie, another crazed villainess. However, as good as she was in that film, I think that Stone topped that performance with this appearance as Allison, and I would love to see Melanie Stone in more Lifetime films.
