Victor and Victoria's fierce battle on 'The Young and the Restless'
Father and daughter are now at odds with each other because of Adam and Billy
Friday on The Young and the Restless, Victor Newman declared war on his daughter and former son in law. Both Billy and Victoria know how ruthless the family patriarch can be. In the end he never loses yet they chose to challenge him. Victor is lived that Vicky gave her ex the information to use to run a story about Adam. Lily and Amanda warned Billy not to print the information as it could lead to lawsuits. Katherine Chancellor was Victor's dear friend and he would never tarnish her legacy, but Billy boy Abbott has him now in a mode of declaring war. As Friday's episode was ending, Victor told his daughter that she was in big trouble but it's not yet clear what that means.
Victoria believes she has always been destined to be the heir apparent and fights tooth and nail to prove this. What will Victor do to her, that will not ruin the business that he spent 50 years running? In order to crush Billy and Vicky, Victor would have to take down his own legacy as well as that of his deceased good friend. Y&R fans had been wondering what the Newman patriarch would be doing now that he has retired and it's evident that he is not going to sit on the porch in a rocking chair. Victor has been busy lately, questioning Summer and Kyle about their future plans, trying to help Adam and now dealing with Villy.
Soaps.com spoilers indicate that next week, Adam is going to cause problems between his father and stepmother and Victoria will make a power move. By Friday, however, Victor will be extending an olive branch to daughter. he probably does not want to spar with her and desires peace. Vicki, however, is power driven just like her dad, which suggests that she many decline his offer. Whatever happens between father and daughter, Victor has declared war on Billy and will be determined to crush him. Jill will not be pleased to know that her son is ruining Katherine's legacy and ruining the opportunity she gave him.
Billy is an addict and likes to gamble. His hatred of Victor and Adam is fueling his behavior and he is not thinking clearly. Spoilers say Lily is going to rein him in next week, but much damage has already been done. He will have both Adam and Victor determined to crush him and he might not survive the fallout. If Alyssa returns from the wild goose chase Adam sent her on and can find credible evidence in Vegas, there might not be much Victor can do to help his son. If the murder really was self- defense to help Chance, Adam will still be charged with covering it up.
One thing that is certain is that Victor and Adam are going to team up to fight dirty. Chance is going to be caught up in this mess and it could jeopardize his new job with Paul. Doug Davidson is scheduled to return to The Young and the Restless and he will probably get to the bottom of all the drama. Paul is all about law and order and does not shy away from the Newmans. Between Adam, Victor, Billy, Victoria, Chance, and Alyssa, the police commissioner will have his hands full. Paul has no jurisdiction in Vegas, but he will do all he can on his end in Genoa City to see that justice prevails. Viewers know that Victor and Victoria will always find their way back to each other but the road will be bumpy.
If she does not accept his olive branch he might have her ousted and put Adam in charge again. Nick does not want anything to do with the family business and Victor probably is not coming out of retirement. Newman Enterprises has been a strong part of The Young and the Restless for 40 years but there is only so much more than can be done with this storyline. Gone are the days of Victor's enemies trying to take over and Jack sparing with his nemesis. Actually, Jack and Victor seem on pretty good terms right now and they both love Dina. Nikki is going to be caught in the middle of the battle between her husband and daughter and she knows neither of them will budge from their positions. Stay tuned to The Young and the Restless to find out of Victoria and her dad make amends or if things go from bad to worse between them.
