Adam and Sharon begin their next journey

The week of August 17-21 will bring "Shadam" fans some much needed excitement. It looks like things will begin to heat up pretty soon between this popular duo. According to Soaps.com, Adam and Sharon will be stubborn about spending time together and Rey, Nick, and Chelsea will be furious. Adam will feel that his former lover is the only one who can help him deal with killing a man when he was 11. Chelsea, Rey, and Nick will want Sharon to stay far away from her ex. Soaps She Knows reveals that emotions will be all over the place as Sharon gives in to Adam and decides to help him with his problems. Here is a preview of what you should expect from this storyline.

On Monday Victor will talk to Chelsea and be delighted to find out that they are on the same page where Adam is concerned. The Newman patriarch will admit to Chelsea that he regrets allowing Hope to raise their son alone in Kansas without him. Victor encourages Chelsea to continue pushing Adam to look to the future and not the past. While they are talking, Adam goes to see Sharon and Rey greets him at the door. Sharon informs him that Adam is there because he needs her help and says to let him in. Rey warns Adam not to overstay his welcome and leaves them alone.

Sharon apologizes for Nick 's behavior but Adam says he is more concerned about her health. Adam doesn’t care about that; he cares about her. he lets her know that Nick told him about the cancer and Sharon begins to cry. She tells him that she has all the support she needs and wants to talk about his problems. Adam says he cannot remember anything except that he and his mother did not go to AJ's funeral. He says that Chelsea does not want him to remember and asks Sharon what she thinks he should do. Sharon admit she is aware of a method of retrieving repressed memories and says they should try a few sessons.

Adam wants to keep this between the two of them but Sharon insists that Chelsea must be told and Adam says he will think about it. Meanwhile, Nick and Rey are at Crimson Lights discussing their mutual dislike of Adam. They agree that the prodigal Newman is self centered and that Sharon has a big heart and will want to help him. Adam goes back to the penthouse where he fills Chelsea in. She tells him that it would be a big mistake to dig around in his past. When Rey arrives at home, Sharon tells him that they need to discuss what took place when she was with Adam.

On Wednesday, Chelsea will seek answers from Sharon, and later in the month, the two will square off over Adam. As a therapist, Sharon understands the power of coming to grips with the past and wants to help Adam remember. This is in direct opposition to the way Victor and Chelsea feel about the situation. Spoilers indicate that there will be some major fallout once Shadam begins unlocking Adam's past memories and everyone close to them will be affected. If Adam does recall everything it will no doubt be traumatizing. All hell will break loose when he continues to choose Sharon over everyone else.

Victor promises Chelsea he will be there for his son and naturally, she desires to help the man she loves. Earlier spoilers have already suggested that "Shadam" will get back together because Mark Grossman and Sharon Case are a couple off -screen. This will make love scenes easier because of COVID restrictions. Nick and Rey will be helpless to stop the chemistry between Adam and Sharon and eventually they will give in to their passion. This is supposed to send Nick back to Chelsea and cause Rey to leave Genoa City. Whatever the ending will be, it starts next week on The Young and the restless, so stay tuned.
