Summer is in a no-win situation

On The Young and the Restless Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) has placed her daughter Summer Abbott (Alison Lanier) in an impossible situation that might end up costing Summer her marriage to Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor). Phyllis has sworn her daughter to secrecy but Summer told her brother Daniel Romalatti (Michael Grazieadei) that their mom is alive. Initially, Daniel thought his sister was delusional and having some type of breakdown but when she mentioned Jeremy Stark (James Hyde) had been stabbed with scissors he asked if she had committed the murder herself.

If Summer decides to share her story with Kyle, or Chance Chancellor ((Conner Floyd) they will also probably believe she is grieving too hard and hallucinating. If she mentions the scissors they will ask how she knew the details of Stark's murder and would probably think as Daniel did that Summer killed her stepfather. Phyllis is selfish and has placed her daughter in a no-win situation. Daniel does now believe their mother is alive and that she killed Jeremy in self-defense but he wants Summer to come clean about it all.

Summer's loyalty to her mom is holding her back as she hopes for a miracle that will set them all free. Phyllis has convinced her daughter that Diane Jenkins (Susam Walters) is at fault for everything but now the two women are equal as Daniel pointed out. Both have lied to loved ones and faked their deaths. Spoilers for The Young and the Restless are saying that during the next week, Summer is going to have to cover her mother's tracks. It had earlier been reported that Stafford would be off-screen for a while and it looks like this is the time.

Phyllis is manipulating her own daughter

Summer believes her mother and has tried to convince Dianel that Diane is the root of all of their current issues but her sibling has stood his ground in his opinion that Kyle needs to know the truth. Spoilers have not said what Phyllis is cooking up in order to free herself from murder charges but viewers know she tampered with the dead body. Both Summer and her mom could become outcasts as far as the Abbott family is concerned and face jail time for obstruction of justice.

Summer has been really secretive after saying harsh things about Kyle's mom to him and to Diane's face. She is now living in the house with them both and this has got to be difficult. Neither Jack nor Kyle will accept her explanations when it all hits the fan and Summer might find herself living elsewhere. it's possible that this could be the end of her marriage which some fans of The Young and the Restless say should happen.

Summer can't win

On Social Media, some Y&R viewers are expressing how disappointed they have been with Summer in the past few months. Others are saying that Lanier's version of the character is always whining and complaining about something and is never happy. This is why many fans are indicating that Summer will deserve to be dumped by Kyle once Phyllis is revealed to be alive.

Even if she can make it look as if Stark manipulated and framed her Phyllis cannot stop the fallout from Summer lying for her. Daniel is being fair and sees how sneaky and manipulative their mom is but it looks as if Summer will have to learn the hard way by losing everything so stay tuned. Be on the lookout for updates from The Young and the Restless related to this situation which is supposed to become more tense during the next 2 weeks.
