Ashland declares war on Victoria

A preview for the week of July 4 on The Young and the Restless shows Victoria Newman ( Amelia Heinle) telling Nikki Newman ( Melody Thomas Scott) that Ashland Locke ( Robert Newman) is gone but she is wrong. In the very next clip, Ashland says that “his wife” will be his next target. Locke scammed the Newmans and Victoria got revenge but now her ex has refused to concede and has declared war.

On Friday he threatened Victoria that she could be charged with fraud but she pointed out all the fraudulent things he had done and gloated that she had drained him of the money he got from the Newmans. It looks like Locke is out for revenge and his ex had better prepare herself because he is a man who was humiliated and determined to obtain the upper hand. Spoilers suggest Ashland will attempt to kidnap Victoria.

Diane comes out on top for now

On Monday’s episode of The Young and the Restless, the focus is on de-escalating the feud between Diane Jenkins (Cynthia Walters) and Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) before it gets out of hand. Kyle Abbott ( Michael Mealor) has a talk with Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) as Summer Newman Abbott (Allison Lanier) seeks answers from her mother.

Skyle practically begs for answers before they get any clarity on what happened to Phack. They do not like what they hearas they learn from their parents that Phyllis used her relationship with Jack to mark her territory and anger Diane. Kyle is worried his mother-in-law is out of control and her hatred toward his mom might cause problems in his marriage.

As Summer and Phyllis are at Society talking thry don’t see Diane hiding nearby as she overhears something promising in their conversation. Phyllis confesses to sticking it to her nemesis by rubbing it in her face that she was sleeping with Jack. Summer is brutally honest with her mom who said she enjoyed getting the best of Kyle’s mother. Diane hears Summer say that Jack deserves better than what Phyllis did to him and Y&R viewers can see the wheels are turning in her mind.

For now it looks like Diane is really trying to change while Phyllis appears to be unable to move forward. Kyle and Summer’s comments indicate they are disappointed with Phyllis which might leave them open to accepting Diane in Jack’s life as time goes by. If Ms. Jenkins does not retaliate wen Phyllis goes off the rails she will be the better person. She can wage war against the redhead by doing nothing more than staying the course.

Sally might bust up Chelsea and Chloe’s friendship

Spoilers say Sally Spectra ( Courtney Hope) will offer Chloe Mitchell Fisher (Elizabeth Hendrickson) the COO position at Newman Media. If she accepts it will more than likely end her business association with Chelsea Newman Melissa as well as what is left of their friendship.

Both Chloe and Adam Newman ( Mark Grossman) have warned Chelsea that her mental health is at risk if she takes on too much but rather than ponder their words she became furious. Chelsea hates Sally and is stunned that she is in a relationship with Adam. If she also loses her best friend to Ms. Spectra this might push her over the edge. It’s not clear what Chloe’s answer will be but If she says yes this will be a double blow for Chelsea, a big win for Sally, and cause a battle between the once good friends.

Be on the lookout for updates related to how each of these volatile situations works out. Will Ashland kidnap and harm Victoria, will Chloe join Sally at the expense of her friendship with Chelsea and will Sally and Diane get what they desire at the expense of others in Genoa City? Tune in to The Young and the Restless to find out.
