'The Young and the Restless' fans think Ashton is lying

Viewers overwhelmingly believe the "Monster" is not dying of cancer and has a secret agenda.

Some fans of THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS believe Victoria and Ashton are playing games with each other while others think the couple is really beginning to connect. Ashland has revealed to Vickie that he is dying of cancer and she suggested they merge their companies so that he will have a legacy once he's gone. Whatever is going on between the duo it will rattle the cage of Billy Abbott and have him going off the rails next week.

Billy believes his ex-wife is putting their children at risk by spending time with Locke. He cannot get Victoria to give him any details and he is anxious about whether the connection is romantic, business, or both. If Ashland is using Victor's daughter it's not quite clear how lying about cancer will benefit him. THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS viewers can easily see how Victoria will benefit from this situation. She can get even with her father and also get Billy to sit up and beg because of her ties to Locke.

Spoilers have not said what Ashland's answer will be but it's curious that he would leave everything he worked hard for to the Newmans. Victor has the media division of his company and now Victoria wants what is left. Ashland says he has six months to live but he is reportedly only going to be on THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS through the summer. The Lockeness Monster seems genuine when he talks about the time he has left and also appears to really like Victoria's company. Both of them are shrewd and power-driven so you never know what is really going on.

Vicki is enjoying the fact that her father is questioning her association with Ashland and she loves that Billy seems jealous. Viewers don't know if she indeed likes to be Locke's company, or is only after the remaining piece of his pie. Billy is seeking a story as well as trying to stop Vicki from dating Ashland. This will eventually cause problems with Lily which will thrill Victoria. Victor and Nikki are unsure of Ashland's motives and don't want him to hurt their daughter. They underestimate that the current CEO of Newman enterprises is as cunning and ruthless as the man who founded the business.

Some who watch the CBS daytime drama don't believe Ashland is not holding a grudge against Victor for almost allowing him to die. It could be that Locke's hidden agenda will somehow bring down the former Newman CEO. THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS viewers are also waiting for the DNA results to confirm or deny that Kyle is Harrison's father. This information will have an effect on everyone moving forward.

Ashland seems to have cut Tara out of his life and she does not appear to care that he may be dating or that he is dying. Her focus is on busting up Kyle and Summer and preventing a wedding from taking place. If it turns out that Ashland is Harrison's dad Tara could lose all rights as well as her hopes of getting Kyle to fall for her again.

All of that is taking place but Victoria and Locke are oblivious to what his soon to be ex-wife is doing in Genoa City. If Ashland is really dying he might consider Vicki's offer but if he is not his end game will eventually be revealed. In the meantime, while everyone is trying to figure out if Victoria is manipulating him or the other way around she is having a ball keeping Billy and Victor guessing.

There does not at this time appear to be an agenda where Ashland would come out the winner but Victoria would score big time if he merged his company with Newman Prizes. This would be unsettling for Victor and Adam who believe they hit the jackpot when Locke signed his media division over to them. There could be more to the story and hidden a hidden agenda or it could simply be that Ashland is dying and trying to settle all of his accounts. The truth will eventually unfold so stay tuned and be on the lookout for updates.
