Carly and Britt faceoff over Jason

On GENERAL HOSPITAL, Carly Corinthos is impetuous especially when she feels threatened and backed into a corner. She has a lot on her plate right now and at the top of the list is a possible feud with Britt Westbourne over Jason. The two women had a brief conversation last week and Britt ended it by saying she was looking forward to what the future holds. Carly is unaware that one of the reasons Brason bonded is because of Britt's Huntington's diagnosis. Based on her past behavior, Carly will be green with envy as she realizes that Jason and Britt share something that she is not privy to.

Carly noticed Jason with his hand over Britt's but was unaware that he was steadying her shaking hand because of Huntington's disease. Jason is not going to betray Britt's confidence and Carly will be furious to not be included in the secret. She will also not like the fact that her BFF may be giving more time and attention to someone other than herself. No one knows for certain what Carly will do but some spoilers have suggested she might try to seduce Jason which will only anger him. The two of them are already dealing with the fallout regarding the missing shipment and they need a plan to deal with Vincent Novak.

Jason is back in Port Charles but nothing has been stated which indicates that he is in control of the Corinthos organization. With things in limbo and no one knowing whether Carly or her bestie is in charge, they may be in for more danger. Carly fuming about Dr. Westbourne is an unnecessary distraction that could have serious consequences. The right thing to do is to put Jason back in charge and make sure everyone knows it and stay out of his personal life. Some spoilers have also suggested that if Carly does not try to seduce Jason she might try to convince Sam to take him back. This would be an act of desperation and choosing the lesser of two evils.

It took Carly many years to barely accept Sam Morgan into her inner circle and she was angry when Sam walked away from Jason to protect her children. When Sam tried to find out where her ex-husband was hiding out, Carly pointed out to her that she had removed herself from a position of knowing anything. A desperate Carly however might decide that Jason is better of with Sam than Britt and pressure Jason's ex into trying to get him back. Jason does not say much and is very hard to read but GENERAL HOSPITAL viewers have taken note that he truly seems to care for Britt.

Both Liesl and her daughter were pleased as punch when Jason called Obrecht and told her where to find Britt. Liesel even had a talk with Jason last week about his intentions towards her Britta and what he intends to do about Peter August. Carly is not going to care about anything except getting her own way and that's why if she cannot get through to JaSam she is going straight to Britt again and will find she has met her match. Britt is the daughter of Faison and Obvrecht and a strong woman in her own right. Jason is her night in shining armor and saved her life. She returned the favor then slept with him and told him her medical secret.

Britt is not a starry-eyed school girl but she believes she and Jason have potential. They have already agreed that when they see each other again it will be because they want to and Carly cannot stop it. Whether she tries to manipulate Sam, come on to Jason, or attempt to get Dr, Westbourne to back off it will not work. Britt makes her own decisions and if Jason says jump she is probably going to say "How high." Jason going back to save Britt from Cyrus Renault's men indicated that his instincts kicked in. GENERAL HOSPITAL viewers will recall that when Shiloh had Sam in the trash bin Jason instinctively knew where to look.

Many watching that episode said they thought it was because of the JaSam bond, Could this have been an indication of the connection that he now has with Britt? Both Carly and Brick called Jason out on that heroic act last week and they clearly suspect something but don't know for certain what is going on. When Carly was talking to Britt she hinted in a roundabout sort of way that she understood if Brason had slept together. She basically said that being on the run and in danger can bring people close but now the danger is over.

That's what Mrs. Corinthos wants but it's not up to her. When the two women have their next tet a tet it's possible that Jason and Britt might have grown even closer. Carly always thinks she knows what's best for her good friend but this time around she will have much opposition. A confrontation between the two women is going to happen and it's only a matter of time. It might take Jason himself telling Carly to back off before she gives an inch so stay tuned.
