The Young and the Restless fans are speaking out

When Ashland Locke (Richard Burgi) first began dating Victor Newman (Amelia Heinle) many who watch The Young and the Restless noticed the age difference between the two but no one believed the relationship would last. In real-time Burgi is 63 and Heinle is 48. Spoilers teased that Vicki would end up alone and heartbroken and some viewers assumed the wedding would never take place.

Y&R fans were certain that Locke would be exposed for his secrets and or die leaving a young widow behind. Burgi did an interview with Soap Opera Digest where he suggested that it would be nice for Ashland to find out that his wife was pregnant before dying. The wedding was in October and it's now February and Vashland is still going strong.

New Ashland/Same drama

Burgi was recently replaced by Robert Newman who is also 63 and Y&R viewers have no problem with either actor but continue to say that Ashland is too old for Victoria. Burgi was let go because he returned to work 5 days after testing positive for COVID and was fired because CBS requires a 10 day waiting period. Newman is quickly making the role his own but fans still feel that Victoria should be with a man who is closer to her own age.

Some spoilers. as well as viewers have even suggested that Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) might have an affair with her son in law but this does not seem likely. Now that it looks like Ashland will be sticking around for a while Y&R viewers are curious as to how everything will work out.

Victorir will have decisions to make

When Victor finally gets the goods on his son-in-law there is no guarantee that Victoria see the light and walk away. By bthe time Michael returns from Peru Ashland ay have covered his trail yet again.Villy fans are hoping that Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) will break up with Lily Winters (Christel Khalil and get back together with his ex but this may not happen.

One thing that is certain is that a majority of those who watch The Young and the Restless believe Ashland and Victoria are mismatched because of their ages. Y&R viewers also do not like the fact that Vickie is the "Ice Princess" when it comes to Billy, Lily, and Adam but meltsliek butter around Locke ad does ot see him for who he really is. At some point she will have to make a decision as to whether or nto she will contiue to buy his excuses or cut him loose.

Victortia may soon see the light

On Friday Locke gave his wife the same tale aotu the Peruvian clinic that he todl her father. Ashland pretened he kept the news from his wife because he did nto want her or Newman/Locke involved in his shell company or in any tax fraud fallout. Although she was angry, Vickie forgave her spouse yet again but it looks like she may be weakening.

Ashland is a liar anhd sooner or later Victor will take him down. All of his dirfty deeds will be exposed and perhaps then his wife will see the light. Once she kicks Ashland to the curb there will be no taking him back. Viewers who are not Vily fans are hoping that The Young and the Restless will find a suitable man for Victoria one whom she can love and respect and will break through her Ice Princess exterior. Fans also are hoping he will be closer to her age so stay tuned to see how this plays out.
