General Hospital viewers are expressing their disappointment related to the current happenings in Port Charles. Fans are divided in their approval and disapproval of recent hookups and breakups and are wondering how all of this will turn out.

Scott and Liesl

General Hospital viewers were stunned when Kin Shriner announced he was leaving the ABC soap and his role of Scott Baldwin yet again. Shriner has been coming and going for decades but fans were hoping he might stick around a while longer because of Scott's relationship with Liesl Obrecht (Kathlene Gati).

"Sciesl" was popular with the fans who understand Shriner made the choice to leave. Even so, this does not stop the disappointment from GH viewers who were hoping to see the couple go the distance. Nothing has been said on screen that would indicate Obrecht and Scott have broken up so perhaps Shriner may return and they will pick up where they left off. Fans enjoyed the dynamic between the two and saw them as a different type of romance.

Drew and Carly

Spoilers had fans anticipating Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) hitting the sheets with Drew Cain (Cameron Matthison) just to spite Sonny. Instead, Carly put on the brakes when Drew tried to kiss her which was completely out of character for her. She is impetuous and usually acts first and thinks later.

She said it was awkward because he is Jason's brother and she knew he was just trying to get over Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco who is now in love with Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zampragna). Some GH viewers agree with Carly that she and Drew should not cross that line while others believe the duo would make a great couple. The majority of fans who have weighed in on these two believe their hooking up is inevitable just like Sonny and Nina.

Dante and Sam

There are General Hospital fans who believe Dante should wait for Lulu Falconeri (Emme Rylan) to wake from her coma and come home to him. Some who watch the show think Dante and Sam should not be together because they share a brother and a sister.

Dante and Kristina Corinthos (Lexi Ainsworth) are siblings because Sonny is their dad and Kristina and Sam share Alexis as a mother. Dante is Leo Falconeri Quartermaine's (Easton Sweda) brother because Olivia is their mom. Sam and Leo share Alexis as a mother.

Sonny and Nina

Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) is considered the Port Charles town pariah and the most hated character on General Hospital at thsi time. Most viewers do not desire to see her with Sonny and believe she should pay for lying to him in Nixon Falls. There are viewers who are livid that Sonny slept with Nina so quickly who believe that this will never last.

Sonny and Carly

Carlson fans desire to see Carly and Sonny reunite and are angry that the writers went in this direction. The consensus seems to be that Nina is temporary but Sonny and Carly are destined to be together. Maurice Benard has been warning Fans on social media for months that change was coming and said he was on board with it.

He advised General Hospital viewers to enjoy the ride but instead, many Carlson devotees used their social media platforms to express their views. Laura Wright also defended the storyline but the fans want what they want. Drew seems to be a wild card who could cause problems for Dante and Sam or end up in bed with Carly.

Scott and Liesel lovers must take a wait and see approach and Sonny and Nina probably will not survive for the long haul. The key to all of this is for the viewers to keep watching and find out what the writers have planned. Be on the lookout for updates to these romantic entanglements as they become available.
