Peter and Ashland need to go

Soap fans who watch ABC's General Hospital and The Young and the Restless on CBS are finding they have a common goal. Viewers o both daytime dramas desire to see the town villains get what is coming to them. Peter August (Wed Ramsey) and Ashland Locke (Robert Newman) continue to be one step ahead of everyone and thus far are getting away with all of their misdeeds.

Each time viewers become excited and believe that Peter or Ashland will be exposed something always works in their favor. On Wednesday's episode of The Young and the Restless Locke was able to put off Victor Newman (Eric Braeden by admitting that he had an interest in the Peruvian clinic where he claims to have been getting treatment for cancer.

Ashland continues to one-up Victor

Someone called Ashland on Wednesday and warned him that an American was in Peru asking questions about him. Y&R fans know this is Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc) who was sent on the mission by Victor. There has been nothing concrete to prove Locke lied about his terminal illness and Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) remains in the dark about her husband.

Victor keeps hsi cool and never appears to be troubled but all the while he is calculating his next move. Now that Locke has confessed it might lessen the blow of whatever information that Michael digs up. This is probably the longest the Newman patriarch ha gone without besting an enemy.

Locke keeps his wife in the dark and has remained one step ahead of the great Victor Newman for more than a year. On Wednesday he told the person on the other end of the phone that they were going to stick to the plan. Many viewers believe this confirms that the Lockness Monster is using Victoria in order to get back at her dad. There just seems to be no end to his evil genius and the writers have obviously spent a lot of time figuring out how to keep him going.

To Victor goes the spoils

On General Hospital Victor Cassadine ( Charles Shaughnessy) thought he was finally going to end Peter only to find out that the madman has his grandaughter Charlotte Cassadine (Amelie McClain) as a hostage. Devoted viewers of both shows have cried out for Peter and Ashland's secrets to come to light and yet these men continue in their dastardly deeds.

On Wednesday Peter made a deal with Victor Cassadine and ended up with Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) showing up on the peer and Charlotte reunited with her papa Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart). Things are going so fast that there is no telling what may have happened by the time you read this. Victor might come out smelling like a rose although Laura Collins (Genie Francis) and Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) don't believe a word he says.

Ashland and Peter will eventually be dealt with

The Young and the Restless viewers can at least have confidence in the fact that Victor always gets his man. Ashland might have his father-in-law in check but Victor will eventually obtain a checkmate. Things on General Hospital are less defined as there seems to be a perpetual stalemate between Peter and Victor.

It will be interesting to watch Valentin's dad spin the situation and make himself a hero for "saving" his granddaughter. Meanwhile, Maxie has to choose whether or not to go with Peter or never see Louise again. Be on the lookout for spoilers and updates related to Peter August and Ashland Locke to find out if viewers get their wish and these two will pay for the pain they have inflicted on the citizens of Port Charles and Genoa City.
