Could Ashland and Diane hook-up?

On The Young and the Restless Ashland Locke ( Robert Newman) and Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) have something very important in common. They are the two most despised people in Genoa City and both have made Victor Newman ( Eric Braeden) very angry. Perhaps the writers will capitalize on this unique situation.

Last week as Diane was keeping up with local gossip on her phone she mentioned Adam Newman (Mark Grossman, Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope), and Ashland. This name-dropping could have been purely random or very much done on purpose. Y&R might have been giving viewers a subtle hint that down the road these two might become an item.

Victoria's next move could be crucial

Diane has been there and done that with Nick Newman (Josh Morrow) Victor and Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) and there are no other eligible males in Genoa City except Ashland. Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) says she is done with Locke and previews show she will soon spend time with Billy Abbott ( Jason Thompson).

Spoilers tease that Villy might get back together so whatever Victoria decides will determine what happens next. If Vicki does not go back to Ashland he will be forced to move on. Diane will be looking for a sugar daddy and Locke is a half billion dollars richer.

Could Harrison become a pawn?

Now that the Newmans have kicked him out of their company and annulled his marriage the Lockness monster has no ties to Genoa City except Harrison Locke ( Kellen Enriquez ). On Monday's episode of The Young and the Restless Kyle Abbott) Kyle tells his dad that Ashland has taken their shared son to the park. At some point Diane could exploit the fact that her grandson is the little boy Ashland raised as his own.

Ashland and Diane will not have interestin storylines if all they do is plot to see Victoria and Kyle. Diane says se as changed but she has got to find a way to survive and thrive in Genoa City. Earlier spoilers suggested she might attempt to play on her son’s sympathy and get him to take care of her. Kyle seems like he is using wisdom thus far were his miter is concerned but who knows how he will feel about her ion time.

At the end of Monday’s episode Isne returned to her hotel room to find Victor sitting inside waiting on her. H wil read her the riot act and perhaps try to bribe her to leave town. Diane could go to the bar to drown er sorrows and run into Ashland and the two might begin scheming together.

The future in Genoa City remains uncertain

Some fans of The Young and the Restless don’t like the fact that Ashland and Diane are taking up so much time on screen at the expense of longtime characters. There are also viewers who are suggesting that Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) a fan favorite was sacrificed so that Diane could be brought back on the scene.

The writers do what they do often knowing their decisions will not be popular with the viewing audience. This is all speculation and nothing could come of it but Diane and Ashland plotting together for business and or pleasure would be interesting to watch. Victor would really be on high alert if his two sworn enemies came together and formed some type of plan.

Ashland might set his sights on Jabot or the combined companies of Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) and Lily Winters ( Christel Khalil). He had told Victoria they could start their own business once try left Genoa City but now that’s off the table.

Perhaps Locke will build his own brand right in front of Vicki and her dad and maybe Diane will be his leading lady in the bedroom nd the boardroom. The possibilities are endless if the writers put Diane and Asland together so stay tuned to The Young and the Restless to find out what happens next.
