The Young and the Restless continues production in spite of coronavirus

The coronavirus is creeping into our every day lives in ways that no one could have imagined, In an effort to halt the spread of this dreaded disease schools and businesses are closing. Soaps She Knows and Soap Net both are reporting that the coronavirus will soon be affecting the world of daytime drama programming. Please keep in mind that the following information is true at this time but could change any moment. The Bold and the Beautiful has cancelled promotional events related to the show, but has not given any official announcement regarding production schedules. Days of Our Lives will halt producing new programs for one week and General Hospital is shutting down operations for one month. No dates have been given as to when this will affect viewers so stay tuned.

The Young and the Restless will operate with business as usual until further notice. If this does not change, those who enjoy the CBS daytime drama will be in for some exciting episodes. Lily and Billy have agreed to Jill’s terms and will be working together in the media department of Chancellor Industries. There has been no word as to whether or not Christel Khalil will remain on recurring status or be on contract again. Viewers will be waiting to find out if Lily and Billy will remain professional or if things between them will become romantic. Spoilers have said there will be tension because of their different approaches to work related issues.

On Monday Mariah showed up on Tanner’s private jet and begged Mariah for forgiveness but Ms. a Porter turned her down. Tessa said she was done with their relationship and Genoa City. Viewers have been concerned that Cait Fairbanks might be written out of the show after she went on recurring status and her character was sent on tour. Now it looks like the viewers may have bern correct but keep watching to find out for certain. Mariah could go off the deep end or she may begin a relationship with Lyndsey, the woman she cheated with. Sharon will be going through more issues as she battles breast cancer and Nikki will continue to lend her great support. Sharon will keep busy giving council to Victoria to whom she just confessed that she had cancer. I

Vicki is trying to cope with all the anguish Billy caused her and figuring out where to place all of her varied emotions. Nick has taken temporarily over her CEO role at Newman, but he has always been their father’s first choice for heir apparent. Victor will probably attempt to keep his firstborn in that position which will cause much faFaith is acting out because of her mother’s illness by talking back to her teachers. Nick enlisted Rey to help him and not worry Sharon. As time goes on the teen will probably cause even more drama.

Adam and Chelsea will be digging into Bicyor’s past during the time Adam was a child. They went to Kansas to visit Hope’s farm so Conner could see where his dad had grown up. While there they encountered Alyssa who was Adam’s childhood friend from kindergarten. She spoke about her father AJ who died after falling from a hayloft. She mentioned that Hope had been very supportive and that Victor had even come from Genoa City to pay his respects. After she left Adam Saturday d he felt something strange had been going on due to the timing of his dad’s various visits to the farm. Chaddam believe Bictor May have had something to do with AJ’s death and will begin investigating.

If The Young and the Restless does go on hiatus, perhaps during the time off the writers will resolve the stalemate for Amanda, Devon, Nate and Elena. Initially it was thought the Hilary lookalike would eventually end up with Devon but she has bern keeping company with Billy and Nate. Elena was also spending a lot of time with Nate and some fans thought they would get together. It looks like Devon and Elena are solid but it’s not certain who Ananda will end up with. Should things heat up with Lily and Billy perhaps she and the good doctor will get busy.
