'The Princess and the Frog' is an influential Disney movie.

If you work hard toward your dreams then they will come true.

Disney released The Princess and the Frog in 2009. Tiana’s dream is to one day have her own restaurant. One night that all changes - but not what she had in mind. After kissing a frog who was once a prince she is also turned into a green-legged amphibian. The journey that follows is commemorative.

Who says you are ever too old for a Disney movie? Revisiting movies is always a pleasure. You never know what you missed on the first watch. The Princess and the Frog is an important Disney movie. It is not talked about enough! While you are working toward your dream never forget to enjoy life.

All the characters in The Princess and the Frog are gifted. Tiana is an influential figure to female audiences. Tiana made history as the first African-American Disney princess when the film was released. She and Prince Naveen go through an eye-opening adventure - as frogs. No matter what your background is it is important to live the life you want.

Louis and Ray have become my two favorite characters. They are optimistic. You’d never think to see an alligator playing the trumpet. Or a firefly in love with a star. Never let life hold you back from your dreams.

Dr. Facilier or ‘The Shadow Man’ is a sinister Disney villain with an epic song. You can never go wrong with an evil villain. Offering characters their hopes and dreams, the turnouts are not what they expect. You always have to be careful with whom you run into.

One character who is not talked about enough is Charlotte. In a time where people were split apart by race, Charlotte and Tiana’s friendship is a blessing. As a driven young woman who is not always aware of what is going on around her, Charlotte is open-minded. She puts others’ needs before her own - especially Tiana.

Voice credits include the incredible talents of Anika Noni Rose, Bruno Campos, Keith David, Michael-Leon Wooley, Jennifer Cody, Jim Cummings, and an ensemble of incredible voices to fill in for many noteworthy characters. They made suggestions for the characters that would help standout.

The Princess and the Frog holds the record as one of Disney’s final traditionally animated films! According to audiences, they found the style of the film too old-fashioned. I disagree entirely. We need more films that are traditionally animated because it is an authentic style.

The animation is incredible! Everything from how the characters move, backgrounds, and how the animators created effects of water was incredible. I could study each screenshot and design for hours.

Life in New Orleans was studied very well. I adore when filmmakers do their research to influence a genuine setting. I’d like to travel back to this time period to witness all the clothes and to listen to jazz music.

The music in this film is incredible. A few notable song numbers to include are ‘Almost There’, ‘Friends on the Other Side’, ‘When We’re Human’, and ‘Down in New Orleans’. The songs are very catchy and I even found myself dancing to the tunes.

Ron Clements and John Musher worked hard with the cast and crew to bring The Princess and the Frog to life. They enforced a positive message about following your dreams and never giving up no matter what your background is.

I am so glad that I revisited The Princess and the Frog. This Disney film is an important story for all audiences to witness. I recommend that you watch it on Netflix and enjoy the music.
