When l was young, not sure what age exactly but l could not say any words yet. l was told when l cried they would put me in front of a tv and nothing else would silence me faster. This coupled with the fact that my family were tv junkies only added to my obsession.lm a mid 90's baby so l grew up in vadamne,stalone,Jackie chan and Wesley snipes era, and make no mistake this was their era.Action movies seemed to dominate mostly until the early 2000,when a shift started to happen. Tv shows started to gain more flavor in people's eyes and other genres started to gain their footing as well.Soon after a splurge of variety entertainment was unleashed and it was upto your choice what you wanted to watch, and for a while it was amazing.However a lot of tv shows and movies are out in the mainstream now and  a guide is needed to find quality from the quantity.In my slightly biased opinion l share my ideal library to those are willing to consume it.l as fan of the questionable finale of game of thrones can tell you if you loved not only the complicated storyline and the medieval setting and slight fantasy of game of thrones, then look not further than Vikings.It is  history channel's show about viking history mixed with fiction .If Jon snow's underdog story and rise left a mark on you then ragna lothbrook will surely rekindle your flame.It has kingdoms and betrayal, and even female bad ass warriors "shield maidens". It sits on 6 seasons last time l checked and l promise it is a must watch.If somehow you cannot get enough of vikings there is also the last kingdom now on Netflix .It has Viking life retold in a different way and the ties with England history is there as well.Understandibly medieval-type shows or movies have people asking for more because it gives you a sense of understanding of the past and the contrast with the modern age leaves you feeling happy to be born now.Moving to a different setting of fantasy there are shows and movies for superhero type, marvel and dc which are usually blockbusters and high budgets.If you like dc or marvels films and shows then look no further for a good alternative than the boys.I recommend if like me having seen superman with all that strength you wandered , what if with all that power superman becomes evil what would happen.My answer was given in the form of the boys ,were they shed light to the practical things that might happened if the wrong people were given superpowers.Its blood and gore is on a mortal kombat level so l advise not eating while watching this one.Maybe its too much gore and for the first time you might want to start with the localized version of avengers the defenders.The defenders is low budget but it still packs a punch,with a blend of superhumans from different areas come together and the rest will be too much of a spoiler.Lets move to a different genre, Romantics and comedy are not as popular as action movies because unlike action movies the story takes more than 40 percent to make it good .If it lacks a good story it easily becomes boring as to action movies were a poor story can be saved by well-made action scenes.

So if you love less violent movies or tv shows and like me loved gossip girl, O.C, etc. Then you might wanna check out Riverdale, it nicely shows the life of a group of teenagers as they face troubles and love in their city .Some other countries such as India, China , south Korea and more have also brought out noteworthy films and tv shows .Parasite is a south Korea movie which leave you breathless and spine chilled at the same time, a must watch.In china joy of life is a tv show about a man sent back in the past in old china , it is something you must witness aleast once in your lifetime for sure.In India K.G.F is a movie with the rise of a legend from less than humble background into the most dangerous man around.It explores the extent in which one can go to see a promise kept.Your eyes will be glad to have witnessed this amazing creation.Granted many are reluctant to try foreign films because of language barriers, however l was once one of those people and eventually was forced to try l hated myself for not trying sooner.A whole new world opened for me and since then lm obsessed, maybe if you try you never know.

My last remarks are on hidden gems, these are movies or shows that just flew under the radar of many people or the title were not too good but they are a very good watch.This usually happens to low budget films or indie films and shows e.g the flight attendant, your honor etc.these shows may not be for everyone that's why sometimes they are overlooked but they are fun to watch and some just as much as the bigger shows.

Movies and tv shows  mostly play with fantasy so l would hope you want to try every fantasy possible.So don't put barriers on your entertainment.
