Thomas and Hope are complicated

Longtime viewers of The Bold and the Beautiful are aware of the many nuances of the relationship between Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson) and Hope Spencer (Anika Noelle). They are stepbrother and stepsister due to the many times their parents have been married and have often been caught up in the feud between their mothers. Thomas has loved Hope and been obsessed with her for decades, even marrying Zoe Buckingham (Kiara Barnes) in an attempt tp get Hope to acknowledge she loves him.

In recent months Hope has been hot to trot after her stepbrother and now that she has bedded him she wants to take a step back before moving forward. Thomas who had been pursuing and stalking her for years is now complacent and happy that he finally had that one night. This is a new version of the bad boy that fans of The Bold and the Beautiful are not used to.

Thomas and Hope have many difficulties

Thomas is the son of Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) and Taylor Hayes (Krista Allen). Hope is the daughter of Brooke Logan (Katherine Kelly Lang) and Deacon Sharpe (Sean Kanan). The connection between Thomas and Hope has been quite complex over the years and initially, they had a close friendship, but it eventually developed into a romantic relationship.

One significant obstacle in their relationship has the presence of Steffy Forrester, ( Jackie Wood) Thomas's biological sister and Hope's stepsister and romantic rival for Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton). The love triangle between Liam, Hope, and Steffy often fueled drama and tension on the show as Mr. Spencer went from first one woman to the other.

Thomas has been the problem until now

Thomas's manipulative behavior, delusions due to a brain tumor, and occasional obsession with Hope caused damage to several characters on the show. Emma Barbour (Nia Sioux) lost her life when Thomas was chasing her vehicle and she went over a cliff and crashed. He has been portrayed as a complex and conflicted character, struggling with personal demons and at times making morally questionable choices.

Thomas manipulated Hope into legally becoming the mother of his son Douglas Forrester (Henry Joseph Samuri) hoping they would become a family unit. He used a voice-changing app that belonged to hsi son to frame Brook for calling CPS and he and Steffy plotted to get Ridge and Taylor back together.

Is Thomas truly reformed?

Thomas drugged his sister so that she welcomed Liam's advances when he thought his relationship with Hope was over. The brain tumor led to his believing a mannequin was Hope and Liam saw him kissing it in the dark. He ran straight to Steffy and the two slept together, and it was believed that her son Hayes might be Liam's child.

DNA tests have proven Hayes is the son of John Finnegan (Tanner Novlin) who has been a model husband a stepfather. Unfortunately, Finn is caught up in the middle of the drama between Thomas, Steffy, Hope, and Liam which seems never-ending. Hope, on the other hand, has been portrayed as a kind-hearted, moral, and compassionate individual, over the years, always striving to find love and happiness amidst the various family dramas and conflicts.

Hope was always the one who could be counted on to make the right decisions until now. Sleeping with Thomas seemed to free Hope to make a choice because she felt like it and not because it was the right thing to do. She gave Liam divorce papers and he signed them, Now they are on to the next chapter of their lives wherever it takes them on The Bold and the Beautiful.
