Brooke has empathy for Luna

Spoilers for The Bold and the Beautiful reveal that this week, Brooke Logan (Katherine Kelly Lang) will show sympathy for Luna Nozawa's ( Lisa Yamada) plight. RJ Forrester (Joshua Hoffman) will confide in his mother, and Brooke will encourage him to forgive his girlfriend for sleeping with his cousin Zende Forrester (Delon de Metz).

Luna was out of it after having a few drinks and popping her mother Poppy Nozawa's (Romy Park) drugged breath mints. She went to the guest cottage looking for water and got in Zende's bed. She hallucinated that he was RJ, and the two slept together. Luna was horrified but Zende went from being elated to being confused. He thought Luna had chosen him over his cousin but he had just seen the couple together only moments before.

Spoilers say Brooke will also talk to Luna this week, and her compassion and empathy might result from Mrs. Forrester once finding herself in a similar situation. The Bold and the Beautiful is revisiting Sheila Carter's (Kimberlin Brown) past from 21 years ago with Sugar (Robin Matson) so perhaps they will emphasize what happened 14 years ago with Brooke. If not, the following is a summary for fans who were not watching at the time to catch them up to speed.

Oliver Jones and Brooke

Longtime B&B viewers will recall that in 2010, the Valley Girl slept with Hope Logan Spencer's (Anikka Noelle) boyfriend, Oliver Jones (Zack Conroy), under similar circumstances as Luna of mistaken identity.

There was a masquerade party at the Forrester mansion where Oliver saw Brooke (wearing a costume) with Hope's necklace around her neck. Jones happened to be wearing an identical outfit to Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye), so Brooke thought it was her husband and they slept together.

Steffy Forrester figured out the secret and blackmailed Oliver because she wanted to take him away from Hope. Eventually, after dating several women on the CBS soap, Oliver moved to Europe.

Brooke and Oliver should have known

B&B fans cried foul immediately after Brooke and Oliver's hook-up. Viewers pointed out that Brooke and Hope are not the same height or weight, and the only thing they have in common is blonde hair. Oliver was a young man with a well-toned body, while Ridge is middle-aged. Even wearing masks, they should have been able to tell they were with other people, not the ones they loved.

Spoilers do not say that Brooke will revisit this part of her sordid past, but it might be appropriate. Her own mistake may be the reason she is so forgiving of the situation Luna now finds herself in. Most mothers would probably have sided with their betrayed son and told him to kick his girlfriend to the curb.

Will Brooke's empathy extend to Zende?

B&B fans will be wondering if Brooke's empathy extends to Ridge's nephew, who was fully aware of what was happening. Zende had his eye on Luna from day one and did not care that she was in love with his cousin. he flirted with her even though she said she was loyal to RJ. Zende's cousin called him out about his behavior last week, pointing out that they were family, and Zende should have respected that.

RJ said his cousin should have backed off and turned Luna down because he was completely in control of his senses. Brooke should not judge her husband's nephew too harshly because she has a lot of skeletons in her closet regarding men. Brooke also knows how Shauna Fulton (Denise Richards) tricked a drunk Ridge into marriage. Be sure to tune in this coming week to find out how all of this plays out on The Bold and the Beautiful.
