When The Bold and the Beautiful returns to the air with new episodes, viewers might notice they are seeing more outdoor action. Brad Bell has not mentioned this when discussing the new normal but it’s highly likely that it will take place. Eric Braeden who portrays Victor Newman on sister soap The Young and the Restless shared something on Facebook that brings up this possibility. The soap vet said that Y&R would be taping more outdoor scenes in Chancellor Park and the Newman stables to assist with social distancing. It’s not very realistic to have everyone visiting Victor’s horses or lounging in the park.

If The Bold and the Beautiful follows suit it would be more believable because the setting is LA and several characters live near the beach. B&B often shows the beachfront property or characters taking a stroll along the shore. There is also the fact that a favorite eating spot is outdoors at Giardino’s Italian restaurant. It would not be strange at all to see the Forrester’s, Logan’s, and Spencer’s enjoying a meal and a drink at that establishment. Perhaps there could even be a fashion show outside as they had in Monte Carlo. Steffy and Hope never got their competition off the ground because of the coronavirus shutting down production.

Sally Spectra was supposed to have a line of fashion designs to contribute but who knows what will happen once Flo is rescued. Ridge and his daughter assisted Sally who's hands had been trembling from stress. She allowed the Forresters to believe she had a terminal disease and they took pity on her rather than fire her, but now she will be exposed as a liar. Brad Bell told TV Line that when new episodes return, Wyatt would find his sweetie chained to a radiator and set her free. This indicates that Flo will be alive and well and able to tell what Sally and Penny have been up to. When the time comes for the couple to kiss, the show will do something new and different.

It will be Katrina Bowden's husband, Ben Jorgensen who steps in for Darin Brooks. The soaps will be utilizing the real-life partners of the actors during love scenes as an added measure of protection because of COVID-19. Only the back of the head will be shown and not the face in order for the scenes to work. Once the truth comes out, Sally Spectra could lose her job. Ridge and Steffy could decide to allow the Forrester models to wear the fashions they helped Sally create but not allow Ms. Spectra to take any credit. An outdoor fashion show, lunch at Giardino's and lots of on the beach fun sound great and will work to a point.

This distraction will never work on a long term regular basis, in place of what could be happening inside the Forrester mansion, or the family business. Brad Bell announced that all the changes to ensure social distancing, coronavirus testing, and complying with new rules is expensive. The cast will also be working shorter days and fewer hours each day. The number of people on the set at one time will now be limited so there is a lot to get used to. You may have heard all of this before but it is always a good idea to be reminded, especially when there are so many changes.

William deVry who portrays Julian Jerome on General Hospital said on Twitter that he would have to find a new style for his longer hair. Eric Braeden announced that the Y&R cast would be doing their own hair and makeup. This sounds like it will be across the board and Days of Our Lives and The Bold and the Beautiful actors will probably have to do the same. All of this is probably overwhelming for the actors but they are professionals and should be able to go with the flow. Be on the lookout for updated information detailing how all of this will work out, both on camera as well as behind the scenes.
