‘The Bold and the Beautiful’ fans disagree on who switched the paternity test

Internet forums are buzzing with ideas about who switched the paternity test on The Bold and the Beautiful. Viewers are also giving their opinions regarding the current storyline. One fan said she did not care who the baby daddy is and only wanted this crazy storyline to end. Another said she hoped viewers would not have to wait another 9 months in order to find out that the baby is Finn's. Most people who commented expressed being angry that the writers have put the characters in this difficult situation.

The one consensus that is constant is the belief that Dr. Finn is indeed the father of Steffy's child. Something to consider is that the writers could be teasing the viewers and the baby ends up belonging to Liam after all. Be that as it may, there were 3 top suspects in one B&B forum who seem like candidates for having tampered with the test so let's take a look at them.

Vinny

At the top of the list, of course, is Vinny, and with good reason. Mr. Walker has told Thomas more than once that he does not believe Liam is good for Hope. He continues to state that Thomas would have a chance with his son's mother if Liam was not in the picture. Vinny also told his best friend that he would do anything for him so most agree that he is the number one suspect. A majority of viewers agreed early on that it was far-fetched to think that Vinny Walker could gain access to a laboratory and switch test results, that is until now.

During the past week, Vinny has made some statements that have raised eyebrows. B&B viewers understand that Mr. Walker could be a red herring to keep prying eyes away from the real culprit, yet the evidence seems to be mounting against him. Vinny has a new job and is wearing a lab coat which implies he is working in someone's laboratory. He even told Thomas that he really knows his way around a lob. Viewers know that Vinny deals drugs but it has never been made clear what type of work he did for a living. If he is indeed employed at the very facility where the DNA testing was done, he must have worked pretty quickly to secure the job just in time.

Taylor

This one seems pretty impossible but one viewer suggested that Taylor might be back in town and switched the tests in order to have Steffy take Liam away from Hope. This is because Taylor once switched test results when she and Brooke were fighting over Ridge. There is no indication that Steffy is even in contact with her mother or that Hunter Tylo will show up again on The Bold and the Beautiful. Anything is possible so don't rule Ms. Hayes out just yet.

Thomas

Several B&B fans suggested that Thomas might not be as reformed as he wants everyone to believe. They think that he might have changed the results himself in order to break up Liam and Hope. The problem with this line of thinking is that at this point, Thomas seems sincere and does not appear to be trying to fool anyone. There is always a possibility that he is still the same old schemer and if he is it will come out eventually.

Right now the most likely suspect is Vinny because of the words he has spoken and also his new job. What is not understood, however, is why he continues to try to push Thomas towards taking Hope from Liam. Even Ridge asked Mr. Walker to not put ideas in his son's head. Thomas seems to be trying to live life on the straight and narrow so why would his best friend want him to mess up again?
