Terminator Salvation Review

Throughout the entire Terminator saga we have been told that bleak future where machines become self-aware but they had only shown us briefly. This was something that Terminator Salvation came to solve , since it is finally part of that catastrophe that each delivery tried to avoid. It is precisely that film that I am talking about here, after a brief summary of the plot, of course.

It is 2018 and the machines have been trying to exterminate the few remnants of humanity that remain for more than a decade. Among all this is John Connor (played by Christian Bale ), who is not yet a leader of the resistance but an officer, has arrived at a Skynet facility where there are some prototypes of the T-800 . After the explosion of the base, John barely manages to escape and after fleeing someone comes out of the rubble. This is Marcus Wright ( Sam Worthington ), who has woken up after 15 years in a coma and does not know what is happening to the world. After surviving several machine attacks he is saved by Kyle Reese ( Anton Yelchin ).). What Marcus doesn't know is that the life that should really be preserved is Kyle's, because John's existence depends on him.

Terminator Salvation Review

As so much time has passed since the last installment , the visual effects technologies have improved and it shows in Salvation . It shows off a good CGI as well as costumes and sets, even so I can't help but remember Transformers on many occasions . The soundtrack is very good. To the mythical central theme of the saga, used here less times than I would have liked, not a few more than competent melodies are added. All this orchestrated by Danny Elfman with very good success, I must say.

The cast is quite remarkable. Led by a huge Christian Bale in the role of John Connor . And followed by Sam Worthington whose reference to the T-800 that Schwarzenegger played is more than evident, but I don't think they are even comparable characters. Directed this time by Joseph McGinty Nichol , who collected certain things from practically the entire saga, although he tried to somehow tell a story that diverges from what was seen before.

Terminator Salvation Review

There happen to be many references as well as connections to the first two installments , ignoring the third an existing bit, yes. Inside of fact, at some points the enormous parallelism between previously witnessed situations happens to be palpable. With the exception of an existing movie cannot exist as a sustained by winks (removing that was by ready player one or chip as well as chop: the rescue guardians ), as well as some things happen to be lacking. Starting with the dull as well as cold tone that permeates everything as well as doesn't end up convincing me, because i notice it happens to be too fake. Apart that was by the great inconsistencies inside of the face that belongs to the plot that belongs to the entire saga.

Inside of short, terminator salvation happens to be an existing fairly irregular installment within the saga, with the exception of i'd exist as a lying on the possibility that i said i didn't enjoy it. Well, during the same time that i said at the beginning, it finally shows us inside of that bleak future that they always tell us about inside of the other terminator movies. Now, that dystopia has been an existing bit behind that is going to belong to us because we have already passed 2018 as well as the machines only rebel against us by breaking down... knock on top of wood.
