George GottPublished 7 years ago in GeeksBest 'Goosebumps' Books
Goosebumps has the benefit of appealing to both young kids and adults who grew up in the nineties and still have plenty of nostalgia for the nights they stayed awake reading the classics. Even those nineties kids who weren’t into reading probably caught at least a few episodes of the TV adaptation. The Goosebumps book series is one of the most popular children’s series of all time. Since the first publication in 1992, the series has sold over 350 million books worldwide in 32 different languages.

While the hysteria that is Pokémon GO only began a few short months ago, it’s trending power has significantly lessened since then. While still more popular than Tinder, and once surpassed Twitter in daily active users, it’s not surprising that a fad that came on so quickly would loose it’s steam in the same way. Despite its drop in success, the game has only helped fan the fire of augmented reality.
Alysha DePernaPublished 7 years ago in GeeksBest Zombie Slayers in History
OK, so the zombies are rising from the dead and threatening to destroy the world. Is it best to use a chainsaw? Or a baseball bat? Or a cricket bat? If you're as kick-ass as these folks, it probably doesn't matter what you use to kill the undead. We reckon that these are the best zombie slayers in history, with a unique set of skills that will put these undead freaks down for good.
Stephen HamiltonPublished 7 years ago in GeeksThe Best Little-Known Dieselpunk Movies
Just because they aren’t a household name doesn’t mean that these lesser-known dieselpunk flicks aren’t well worth the watch. If you love watching Nazi spies, katanas, Nazi zombies, tanks, Nazi robots, Mafia lords, dogfights, Nazis on the moon, jetpack rockets, and Nazi zeppelins thrown together in messy, grimy, wildly entertaining yet somehow philosophically engaging stories that your friends haven’t seen before, then this is definitely the list of dieselpunk movies for you.

Are you a fan of all things extraterrestrial? Do you still wear bellbottoms and secretly horde scrunches? What about all night Walking Dead marathons and cult TV binges? If any (or all) of these things apply to you, than have no fear, there is a fan festival out there waiting for you.
Alysha DePernaPublished 7 years ago in GeeksBest Zombie Manga
You know what’s better than manga? Manga with zombies in it. Search your feelings, you know it to be true. After America, Japan is probably the world's #2 producer of zombies. Our fascination with zombies, of creating a new world via some warped death fantasy, has been the focus of just about every format from video games to Hollywood movies. But we can conclude that anime does the zombie genre best because, hey, anime is awesome! With that in mind, we reckon that these are some of the best zombie manga out there.
George GottPublished 7 years ago in GeeksThe Best Video Game Movies
Look. I'll be the first to admit that we are still yet to encounter our first 'great' video game movie. Every time a film come out I eagerly buy my ticket and sit in anticipation, wondering if this'll be the one, if this'll be the film that finally proves the cynics wrong.

Best Horror Podcasts
Although radio dramas once populated the airwaves, fiction has never dominated the podcast charts. This all changed with the creation of horror, suspense, and sci-fi podcasts. Their popularity isn’t much of a surprise, but more so that it took this long to catch on. With horror themed movies and TV shows keeping us up at night, it was about time for the dark airwaves to make their mark.
Alysha DePernaPublished 7 years ago in Geeks 'The Walking Dead' Comics Vs TV Show
The Walking Dead has become a sensation on TV ever since it made the zombie apocalypse both believable and relatable. Whether watching or reading, it has made its scrappy group of survivors seem like mythic figures, as well as the person next door. Though the TV show has a great backstory to follow with years of storylines created by the comic, there is enough of a difference to keep even the most diehard of readers guessing as to where the story will go next. I’ll take a look at three differences and three similarities that keep bringing people back to The Walking Dead.
Peter CarriveauPublished 7 years ago in GeeksBest Places to Hide During a Zombie Apocalypse
With pop culture’s incessant interest in zombies, the undead hype has exploded into living rooms across the world with TV shows and movies like the Walking Dead, Fear of the Walking Dead and the always classic Night of the Living Dead. These TV shows and movies are becoming more and more realistic, almost too real. Zombies have dominated science fiction for years. But we know they don't actually exist, right? Wrong. There are several real-life diseases that could make you act like a zombie. Some diseases like Sleeping sickness, Rabies and Necrosis show signs that are eerily close to what you’d expect a zombie to be like. Living in our world right now almost feels like everything is upside down. I mean come on, Donald Trump is an actual candidate for presidency so it would be no surprise if the next worldwide outbreak was a bunch of zombies. Anything is possible at this point. Last time I checked the zombies weren’t walking the streets but if they do, here are the best places you should hide during a zombie apocalypse. Every location on this list of zombie hideouts have their pros and cons but be reassured they would be your best bet.
George GottPublished 7 years ago in GeeksBest Zombie Movies on Netflix
What better place for the best zombie movies to come back to life than Netflix. The streaming service is always adding new movies to their platform, making them readily available for eager hands of those who enjoy documentaries, action films, and zombie movies, as well as much more. It seems like the dead in these movies are never going to actually go to the grave with services like Netflix constantly picking them up and putting them right back in our faces. But hey we’re not complaining. We want all the blood, guts and gore we can handle.
