Alysha DePernaPublished 8 years ago in GeeksBest Zombie Manga
You know what’s better than manga? Manga with zombies in it. Search your feelings, you know it to be true. After America, Japan is probably the world's #2 producer of zombies. Our fascination with zombies, of creating a new world via some warped death fantasy, has been the focus of just about every format from video games to Hollywood movies. But we can conclude that anime does the zombie genre best because, hey, anime is awesome! With that in mind, we reckon that these are some of the best zombie manga out there.

Look. I'll be the first to admit that we are still yet to encounter our first 'great' video game movie. Every time a film come out I eagerly buy my ticket and sit in anticipation, wondering if this'll be the one, if this'll be the film that finally proves the cynics wrong.

Best Horror Podcasts
Although radio dramas once populated the airwaves, fiction has never dominated the podcast charts. This all changed with the creation of horror, suspense, and sci-fi podcasts. Their popularity isn’t much of a surprise, but more so that it took this long to catch on. With horror themed movies and TV shows keeping us up at night, it was about time for the dark airwaves to make their mark.
Alysha DePernaPublished 8 years ago in Geeks 'The Walking Dead' Comics Vs TV Show
The Walking Dead has become a sensation on TV ever since it made the zombie apocalypse both believable and relatable. Whether watching or reading, it has made its scrappy group of survivors seem like mythic figures, as well as the person next door. Though the TV show has a great backstory to follow with years of storylines created by the comic, there is enough of a difference to keep even the most diehard of readers guessing as to where the story will go next. I’ll take a look at three differences and three similarities that keep bringing people back to The Walking Dead.
Peter CarriveauPublished 8 years ago in GeeksBest Places to Hide During a Zombie Apocalypse
With pop culture’s incessant interest in zombies, the undead hype has exploded into living rooms across the world with TV shows and movies like the Walking Dead, Fear of the Walking Dead and the always classic Night of the Living Dead. These TV shows and movies are becoming more and more realistic, almost too real. Zombies have dominated science fiction for years. But we know they don't actually exist, right? Wrong. There are several real-life diseases that could make you act like a zombie. Some diseases like Sleeping sickness, Rabies and Necrosis show signs that are eerily close to what you’d expect a zombie to be like. Living in our world right now almost feels like everything is upside down. I mean come on, Donald Trump is an actual candidate for presidency so it would be no surprise if the next worldwide outbreak was a bunch of zombies. Anything is possible at this point. Last time I checked the zombies weren’t walking the streets but if they do, here are the best places you should hide during a zombie apocalypse. Every location on this list of zombie hideouts have their pros and cons but be reassured they would be your best bet.
George GottPublished 8 years ago in GeeksBest Zombie Movies on Netflix
What better place for the best zombie movies to come back to life than Netflix. The streaming service is always adding new movies to their platform, making them readily available for eager hands of those who enjoy documentaries, action films, and zombie movies, as well as much more. It seems like the dead in these movies are never going to actually go to the grave with services like Netflix constantly picking them up and putting them right back in our faces. But hey we’re not complaining. We want all the blood, guts and gore we can handle.

Emily McCayPublished 8 years ago in GeeksMost Underrated Zombie Movies
I think it’s more than fair to say that the major zombie craze that took over the world has just about died out by now. Although zombies, just like any other film trend, were subject to some absolute brutalization in the hands of filmmakers who didn’t seem to know what they were doing, the classic horror monster proved to be a terrifying creature in the hands of those who understood its powers. Throughout the mid 2000s and the early years of the 2010s, we were treated to hundreds of zombie movies. Understandably, it’s hard to separate the wheat from the chaff.
Stephen HamiltonPublished 8 years ago in GeeksBrutal Zombie Kills
Zombie flicks are the best way to fantasize about killing thousands of one’s fellow humans without guilt or remorse. That kind of destruction, however, comes with collateral damage. Possessing no empathy, few manners, and a disregard for the welfare of humanity, when it’s time for the zombies to get their revenge, they become a little more creative than your average human. They tend to reveal what lies deepest inside us—in a strictly anatomical sense. Compiled below are some of the most brutal zombie kills: that intrusive, eviscerating style of murder that only a horde of zombies could perform.
Geeks StaffPublished 8 years ago in GeeksJoyce Carol Oates' 'Zombie'
A few years before zombie’s became a pop culture phenomenon, Joyce Carol Oates published a tiny novel called Zombie. Though known mostly for contemporary literature, Oates also has a gothic side which we’d previously seen in her novels like Mysteries of Winterhurn and many of her short stories, like those found in her collection, Haunted: Tales of the Grotesque. But Zombie shows a dark and twisted side of Oates' writing that is not present in her other works. This tale is so intense, many have described Zombie as one of the most frightening books I’ve ever read.
