Movie Review: 'Palmer' Starring Justin Timberlake
In the new movie, Palmer, Justin Timberlake plays a former High School Football star quarterback who has just been released from prison. Moving back to his hometown of Sylvain, Louisiana, Palmer, as he’s known to friends, just wants to settle down and go unnoticed. He wants to get a job, have a few beers with friends and stay out of trouble. Naturally, there would not be much of a movie if that happened.

Ramprasad Ki Tehrvi(2021)- Review
Ramprasad Ki Tehrvi is a drama-comedy directed by Seema Pahwa. It starts with Ramprasad’s (Naseeruddin Shah) demise and his family having to come and live under the same roof to perform all the Hindu rituals within the 13-day mandatory period that they need to stay for. Ramprasad & his wife (Supriya Pathak) have a big family with 6 children their spouses, their children, and a lot many close relatives. While the task of staying and showing their respect sounds simple enough the enormity of the family and the friction among some of the members, the task is going to be nowhere near easy. The movie tries to showcase the familial bonding that one share’s, even after having some dicey moments with their loved ones, and aims to do so with few comic scenes here and there.

Movie Review: 'The Little Things'
The trailer for the new Denzel Washington-Rami Malek thriller, The Little Things, rubs me the wrong way. It’s similar to when you’re listening to a song and they strike a bad chord and you wince almost imperceptibly. That’s me every time I see the trailer for The Little Things and Denzel Washington blames the murdered woman on a morgue slab in front of him for getting herself killed.

Movie Review: '#Like'
After the first two acts of #Like, I began writing a very positive review in my head. The movie begins to weave a very compelling story very early on about a once popular teenager, former cheerleader, deeply disillusioned by the death of a loved one. So disillusioned is our protagonist that she begins a quest for revenge that feels raw and organic in the way that someone whose never had a violent motivation before might plot revenge.

I just saw a puppet walking around on its own with a cricket. Am I crazy? Released to theaters in 1940, Pinocchio was Disney’s second animated feature. A puppet is given a chance to live. With the help of Jiminy Cricket, Pinocchio must prove himself worthy to one day become a real boy. The journey that follows is reflective.

Rumor: Is Black Widow At Risk To Debut On Disney Plus In May?
Marvel's Black Widow was due to release back on May 1, 2020. Unfortunately, due to Covid-19, the movie's release had to be postponed indefinitely. What makes things worse for Kevin Feige and Marvel is that streaming movies at the same time as theater releases have become the fashionable way for a film to debut during the pandemic. Moviegoers have been cautious to avoid movie theaters trying to protect themselves from Covid-19. However, rumors are now circulating that Marvel's Black Widow will debut on Disney Plus in May 2021.

Newton(2017)- Review
Newton is a black comedy film featuring Nutan "Newton" Kumar (Rajkummar Rao) who is a novice government official, currently serving as a reserve for election duty. Newton is a hardliner for rules and believes doing his duty truthfully & diligently. After a main officer assigned to a polling station bows out, Newton being the next reserve is called upon. He unquestioningly accepts his task and sets out for fulfilling his duty. The task however is not so straightforward, the area assigned to him is a naxal-controlled territory that too with very few registered voters. To safeguard him and his team a security force, led by Assistant Commandant Aatma Singh (Pankaj Tripathi), is assigned to be with him. Neither the security forces nor his colleagues take their task seriously but Newton being the honest man he is tries his very best to conduct free and fair polling despite there being a looming threat of possible attacks. The film simply depicts Newton’s attempts to do his job on Election Day in this remote area.

A Filmmaker's Review: "The Wolf Man" (1941)
There are certain films which just scream 'classic monster horror' - these films include: "American Werewolf in London" by John Landis, Christopher Lee's "Dracula" and even Michael Jackson's "Thriller". Another film that does this is the legendary 1941 film "The Wolf Man" and I cannot tell you how great and fun I find this film. As someone who is interested in myths and legends of monsters, there are certain things about this movie which make for a deep and involved viewing experience whilst also being fun to watch in all ways.

A Filmmaker's Review: "The Mummy" (1932)
I'm going to be perfectly honest, I did not think too much of this film the first time I watched it, but after a few times, I began to appreciate it more for what it was - a film about a monster. And that's all it was. And that was fun. It worked brilliantly both for the way in which the story was told and for Boris Karloff's career-long investigation into the portrayal of monsters and villainous characters.
