Poor Things Movie Review
Yorgos Lanthimos is one of the most unique and dynamic indie filmmakers in the industry; his style, use of black comedy and an often bonkers presentation are unlike anything else on the silver screen. Having established his presence with The Lobster and The Favourite, he now turns his attention to the adaptation scene with Poor Things. It’s another fascinating and impeccably produced project.

Society Of The Snow Movie Review
When he isn’t working on large-scale blockbusters, J.A Bayona has a penchant for disaster films with a human heart at the centre. Just like The Impossible before it, Bayona and his crew have delivered another excellent production, one that brings the right amount of levity, authenticity and respectful portrayals.

JFK (1991)
Introduction From: IMDB One of my all-time favourite movies is Oliver Stone's JFK and no matter its run-time, I will always watch it again and again. There is a lot to explore in the movie from the classic use of black-and-white, the prologue which presents us with an aspect of nonfiction realistic cinema and even that speech given by Donald Sutherland's character known only as X. It is one of those movies by Oliver Stone which explores the political realities of things we are not allowed to know otherwise; telling the true story of Jim Garrison who criticised the Warren Report and investigated the death of President Kennedy, it is a really interesting film with tons to analyse.

How the Oscars Work
As we are nearing the end of awards season with the Oscar’s approaching I am still seeing just so much wrong information being given out and I hate it. So I am going to clarify a few things here. It seems the general public has 0 idea how film eligibility for awards works (which would be harmless and fine if everyone didn’t act like they knew everything). This information that I am about to distill comes directly from the very free and accessible academy rules available on their website, so there should be no debate or question.

Oscar Nominations
So the Oscar nominations were released and there was not a single category in which all of the nominations were earned. There was a lot of internet outrage and discussion about the lack of certain Barbie nominations but quite frankly that was the least of the academy’s problems this year. So instead of picking apart everything that was wrong I am simply going to put forth what each category's nominations should have been. This is what the Oscar nominations would look like if the academy wasn’t sexist and racist and stupid.
