The Long Lost Little Black Book Love Song: A Tribute
“So, your ‘Tribute Song’ started it all. Do you have any other ‘greatest’ songs in the world that you can’t remember?” “I’m so glad you asked, Seth.” Jack winked at the audience as he leaned across the couch towards his accommodating host. The comedian/musician was making the rounds of all of the late night talk shows; and this pre-arranged conversation starter and the ensuing banter had been going viral on social media and was proving to be a ratings hit.

The Crystal: Revenge {Intro}
“The twins-” That had been two hours ago. Gracie realized in horror as she watched her best friend fall to dust that there were four very precious human beings in her home waiting for her mother and she had no idea if they were alive. She had to find out.

Lexiconum
Black as the void, a depth to its darkness. A knowledge of infinity. The little black book covered in the symbols of ancient Palish, called to Dante. A promise of peace, a covenant of enlightenment in its purest form. A sense of longing drew the Paladin closer. Dante felt his legs carrying him towards the book that sat alone on the table. He couldn’t resist its touch….

The life of Raymond
*This story is inspired by the snippet of the movie 'Fight Club (directed by David Fincher)' <1> One night in 1999. Raymond ran for life. I mean literally. I swear if you just got out of the tip of a gun right at the back of your head, you'd run like Forrest Gump. Everything was a blur on the way home. He couldn't be happier to be in this small, cramped basement apartment. His legs finally gave out.

SHATTERED REALMZ
Lightening flashed in multiple successions as Dagon Zarot walked up the pathway towards a dilapidated manor, that his great-grandfather insisted he explore, to claim the rest of the inheritance. Light rain started to fall from the sky as the rumble of thunder from the earlier flashes began to reverberate through the air. A man of 31 scrawny with pale skin shivered as his dark black hair started to hang just over his misty blue eyes, Dagon was not a handsome man but something about him was not quite unattractive either. Even though he was frail looking he was tough as he led a rough life always being picked on, teased, and bullied; there was a tautness to his musculature. As the darkness was broken by the flashes from the storm it somehow enhanced his stature. He was by no means strong, but he was enduring and could take a beating.

The Hidden Estate
“Your Honor, this is for you.” The messenger handed him a wax-sealed envelope. “You’re the executor.” At this, the judge tore the envelope open in a hurry. It seemed his old governess had fulfilled her final hour in peaceful slumber that same morning, Friday April 13, 1827. As executor he would undertake the archaeology of her apartment at his family’s home. “So,” he mused aloud, “I am to search for stone tablets.” It was his attempt at levity; the lady had been so old there was no telling what artifacts he might uncover. Judge Sydney Carton Darnay arrived home to find his sister and his elderly parents in tearful mourning. He ate with them almost in silence. Even the servants were dressed in black, for Miss Pross had been everyone’s friend.

Paladins of the Crest
When I was fifteen my parents let go from work. We lost our house and had to move in with my grandfather. He had a two-story house with a basement that smelled like mothballs and books. Yes, books have a smell. Grandpa’s house had plenty of room for everyone. However, people needed to eat and other bills paid, so my parents went out to find a job every day. For reasons unknown, grandpa always forbid us from going into the basement.

The Legend of the Wrir
He sloshed through the puddles in the back alley as he trudged his way home. He never thought he'd end up stuck in a town like this. He glanced up at the shabby buildings around him squinting against the steady rain. They seemed to huddle together as their forms darkened in the dying light of the day. He sighed heavily. What a dump! He thought for the millionth time as he turned the corner at the end of the ally.

Please Return
You don’t spend your life at the bottom of the sea and not learn a thing or two so when that notebook drifted down and landed on my head I knew there was a reason for it. I could have sloughed it off and continued my usual antics, but even if I’m not the most absorbent creature on the planet, this book with “Please Return” written across its front cover was trying to tell me something, but what? My mind, pondering the unfathomable depths of possibility, suddenly felt an overpowering need to find the book’s owner and return it to them! I let out an audible “whoa” realizing that I may never have come to this conclusion had it not been for that black notebook landing on my head.
