Two Steves leave DOOL for GH

Steve Burton just wrapped up his role as Harris Michaels on Days of Our Lives and will soon play Jason Morgan again on General Hospital. The soap vet is not the only DOOL cast member who is going to crossover to GH. Steve Mize who portrayed Dr. Pierce on the Peacock soap will also show up in Port Charles.

Dr. Pierce assisted Melinda Trask ((Laura Kai) in lying to Nicole Walker (Ari Zucer) that her baby died. This character was not around long but fans considered his deeds to be evil and were hoping he would get caught and pay for his crime. Mize said the following about his daytime experience.

“My first appearance in this medium made me nervous to my knees,” Mize admitted on Instagram in December. “I had no idea what to expect. Everything was new and unfamiliar.” However, his experience on DAYS changed everything! “I love it!” he exclaimed. “It’s the best, most exhilarating, and challenging experience to work at that breakneck pace! I learned so much!” (Per Soaps in Depth).

Will Mr. Wright be anything like Dr. Pierce?

Dr. Pierce might someday return to Salem life to right the great wrong but for now, Mize will take on the role of the father from hell of Adam Wright ( Joshua Benard) and show up in Port Charles sometime this week.

Adam tried to take his own life by drinking alcohol and taking pills. He has told a story of his parents being pushy about his obtaining a medical degree. The teen is interested in music but is afraid his mother and father will not understand. This has painted a picture that suggests his mom and dad are perfectionists who are disappointed if his grades drop from an A to a B.

Will Adam's concerns be validated?

Adam was petrified during midterms and refused to go home for Christmas break. Josslyn Jacks ( Ede McCoy) (currently Courtney Fulk) and Dex Heller (Evan Hoffman) expressed their concern at the hospital that Adam's parents not be notified but GH protocol says they must be told. What type of man is Adam's dad and how will Mr. Wright respond to his son's "weakness"?

Will he believe Adam is a failure and turn his back or will he show some human kindness and let up on the harsh expectations he has for his offspring? Will Adam be furious at Joss for interfering in his life or thank her?

Will Mr. Wright abandon his son or take him home and make sure he gets the mental health checkup that he needs? Mr. Wright could be the type of parent who plays the blame game or he might realize his personal shortcomings, admit he was wrong, and apologize.
