Fans of The Bold and the Beautiful are confused about Darin Brooks exit and swift return
Viewers say they don't understand the way Brad Bell treats some of the cast members.
Brad Bell baffles B&B fans
The Bold and the Beautiful say they are confused because Darin Brooks is returning to his role of Wyatt Spencer just a few months after announcing that he was leaving. This is more than likely due to the decision of executive producer Brad Bell rather than the actor himself.
Bell has a history of instability regarding certain characters on the show and fans should be used to his methods by now. Winsor Harmon and Ashley Jones returned temporarily as Thorne Forrester and Bridget Forrester when Eric Forrester (John McCook) was thought to be dying. Both disappeared without so much as a goodbye and who knows when they will be seen again.
The same pattern repeats on B&B
Diamond White (Paris Buckingham) had been dating Zende Forrester (Delon de Metz) but she has not been seen since Eric and Ridge Forrester's (Thorsten Kaye) fashion competition. Zende now appears to be after Luna Nazawa (Lisa Yamada) without mentioning breaking up with Paris.
Justin Barber (Aaron D Spears) was supposed to be working for Ridge and spying on Dollar Bill Spencer (Don Diamont) and he disappeared without a trace. Spears has been brought back to The Bold and the Beautiful on contract several times only to be placed on recurring status and then not be seen again.
Brooks was MIA for close to a year along with Denise Richards (Shauna Fulton) and Katrina Bowden (Flo Fulton). Bell said they all were a part of the B&B family and would return but the two women are nowhere to be seen. Wyatt and Flo were engaged and nothing has been said about a breakup.
Brad Bell frustrates the B&B viewers
When Brooks was last on The Bold and the Beautiful he was nothing more than a listening ear for Scott Clifton (Liam Spencer)who complained about his situation with Hope Spencer (Annika Noelle) and Steffy Finn (Jackie Wood). Fans of the CBS soap would like to see Wyatt have an increased role on the but he could be gone again just as fast as he returned.
Those who watch The Bold and the Beautiful have complained on social media that they do not understand how Bell runs the series. Fan favorites disappear and the same 2 or 3 actors will be front and center for extended periods. Fans were irate over how Eric's sickness took up the fall and beginning of winter. Characters like Sheila Carter (Kimberlin Brown) and Deacon Sharpe (Sean Kanan) have not been seen in quite a while.
Alley Mills (Pam Douglas) vanished after only being seen now and again. The actress is now portraying Heather Webber on General Hospital. Dick Christie (Charlie Webber) only shows up once in a blue moon and fans say they cannot make sense of it all.
Will Wyatt have a decent storyline?
Days of Our Lives, General Hospital, and The Young and the Restless never focus exclusively on a few core characters and they rarely have cast members who disappear without a trace only to return months later without an explanation. Nothing has been said yet regarding why Wyatt is returning but fans believe it has to do with Dollar Bill Spencer (Don Diamont) possibly being the father of Luna.
Will Wyatt have his own storyline and a love life this time around or will he keep playing second fiddle to Liam or become a sounding board for his father? Spencer Publications is not being shown at this time so if he's not at work where will Wyatt fit in? Be on the lookout for updates related to Darin Brooks and his return to The Bold and the Beautiful.

2023 The Year of Women and Fridging
2023 was an incredible year for women in film. Between Beyonce and Taylor’s concert movies, Barbie and 1 single woman getting nominated for best director at the Oscars there was a lot to celebrate. But just like with anything the universe seeks balance and in 2023 we nerds also experienced something on page and screen that we should have evolved out of decades ago. In the year of Barbie we had not 1, but 2 incidents of fridging in the comic book universe. Both came from Marvel and both are inexcusable. I would love to celebrate how far representation in this field has come, really I would. But I can not do that if we are still making the same mistakes. I am not going to celebrate that there is now less sexual assault in comics. I am not going to celebrate that fridging is less common. I am not going to celebrate that women are infantilized less often in comics. I will not celebrate less. Not in 2024 when every grown person on the planet should know better. I will not be celebrating less. I will celebrate when women are ALWAYS treated like human beings, fictional or not.
