Does Taylor need a reality check?

Fans of The Bold and the Beautiful are in 3 different corners when it comes to Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye). They either want Ridge with Brooke Logan (Katherine Kelly Lang), with Taylor Hayes (Krista Allen) or think he should move on from both women. Spoilers are teasing that there will be a Bridge reunion in Rome and Taylor fans don't like it but Ridge and Brooke did not end their marriage on their own.

The couple was happy until Thomas Forrester (Matthew Ashford) changed his voice with an app and made it look as if Brooke had called CPS on him. Neither Ridge nor anyone else knew about the voice app so it was only natural that they would believe Brooke set Thomas up. No matter how fans feel about either woman the truth is Ridge proposed to Taylor on the rebound the last time so perhaps it's time she has a reality check and bows out gracefully.

Ridge and Brooke were manipulated

Ridge did not suddenly have an epiphany and realize that he loved her all along he was tricked. The same way Shauna Fulton (Denise Richards) tricked him with the help of Quinn Fuller (Rena Sofer). Taylor is a psychiatrist and yet she cannot see the truth that is right in her face. Ridge did not choose Taylor of his own free will because he was missing parts of the equation. Taylor, Thomas. and Steffie Finn (Jackie Wood) are holding on to anger because Brooke broke up their happy home but enough time has gone by that they should be able to deal with this fact.

In all their planning and plotting and reasoning on why Taylor and Ridge should get back together, they are missing the most important ingredient. If Thomas had never intervened Brooke and Ridge would have remained together in spite of the fact they disagree about their children. Someone on The Bold and the Beautiful who is not immediately involved perhaps Eric Forrester (John McCook) should have an intervention with Taylor, Thomas, and Steffy and get them to face facts.

Taylor just wants to feel that she got Ridge back from Brooke which is the reason she tried setting her bestie up with Deacon Sharpe (Sean Kanan). Taylor probably only agreed to the pact because she was biding her time until Brooke and Deacon reunited and she could have Ridge to herself. It's true Brooke also wanted her husband but that's the point he was her husband and no one should have been trying to keep them apart.

Is Taylor a desperate and delusional woman?

Taylor was so desperate she was going to marry Ridge anyway even after she found out what Thomas had done. She knew this was the only way she could ever hope to become Mrs Ridge Forrester again and she was hoping that once he married her he would honor the vows. No woman should have to settle for second best like that and Taylor does deserve much better but she is delusional that Ridge will love her more than Brooke.

Some B&B fans don't understand why Ridge loves Brooke considering her track record. She was married to Eric and also has been with Thorne Forrester (last Ingo Rademacher) who is Ridges's brother and Eric's son. Still, the fact remains that most times when something came between Brooke and Ridge it was other people like the time Quinn spiked Brooke's drink and she kissed Deacon.

It was wrong for Brooke to break up Taylor's home all those years ago but the children are no adults with families of their on and it's clear Ridge loves Brooke in a way he does not feel about Taylor. Isn't it time that Dr. Hayes begins to have some self-respect and remove herself from this equation?
