September brings confusion to Genoa City on The Young and the Restless

The month of September will find a number of Genoa City residents dealing with conflicting emotions on THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS. There will be a lot of soul searching and desire for answers in the midst of the confusion. Viewers might be surprised at some of the twists and turns that current storylines will take.

Phyllis can't help herself with Jack

Phyllis is dealing with the letdown of Kyle and Summer remaining in Milan. She has been leaning heavily on Jack because he is hurting over the loss of both his son and grandson. Spoilers indicate that Skyle will return for 2 days in October but by then Phyllis may have already made decisions that will ruin her life. Ms. Summers evaded Nick's question of whether she would be dating Jack if he were not in the picture and she is angry that Sally implied she is spending too much time with her ex.

Spoilers indicate that Sally's innuendo and Nick's question will not slow her down. Phyllis is going to continue to spend time with Jack who is not thinking clearly at this time. Ms. Summers is her own worst enemy and will be unable to help herself. She will continue insisting that Jack is her friend and they understand each other where their children are concerned. It's not clear how far things will go or if the duo will end up in bed. It sounds like Phyllis will ignore all the warning bells and push until she and Jack are in a compromising situation because she loves playing with fire.

Victoria's downfall

Spoilers for THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS say that Victoria will end up brokenhearted and alone. Billy is working overtime to uncover dirt on Ashland and Victor and Nick are doing the same. The Newmans want to keep Vickie's ex husband out of the loop on what they find but Billy has his own resources, Victoia loves Ashland and wishes everyone would leave them alone and allow them their moment. It was recently revealed that Ashland dated an older woman when he was in his 20s and spoilers suggested it might have been Katherine Chancellor or Dina Mergeron.

On Tuesday it was revealed that the woman was married and that Ashland benefited after she died. This does not sound like either Dina or Katherine. Vicki also has said she does not care about Ashland's past so perhaps her heartbreak comes from another source. Two possibilities are that Victoria finds out that Locke was never dying and was using her to get even with her father or he is sicker than anyone realizes and passes away prior to the funeral. Whatever takes place Victor, Nick, and Nikki will find they need to console Victoria over her broken heart.

Mariah and Devon's dilemma

Mariah will find that her emotions are all over the place due to her recent ordeal. She told Tessa on Tuesday that she just cannot let go of her baby whom Abby named Dominic Newman Abbott Chancellor. The D and M in the first name are for Devon and Mariah. Ms. Copeland spent a lot of alone time with her unborn child and now is probably dealing with separation anxiety postpartum depression and possibly PTSD. Spoilers say that both Devon and Mariah will find they are more attached to the baby than they realize. They will be conflicted and find that it will not be as easy as they believed it would to give this child to Abby to raise.

Abby has challenges

Abby's number one challenge is the fact that her husband is not with her. She has gone through this entire ordeal without Chance at her side. THE YOUNG AND THE RESTESS has not indicated what the fate of Phillip Chancellor IV will be and this has viewers perplexed. When Donny Boaz was fired the CBS soap said that his character would not be replaced. The reason for this is not clear but now some viewers don't think Chance will return to Genoa City and that Abby and Devon might fall in love.

On Tuesday the duo hugged and showed their support for one another. Devon hanging around Abby will only cause him to bond with his son and he and Abby will surely bond. Spoilers indicate that Devon and Mariah's feelings for the little boy will cause Abby som confusion an without Chanc it will be all the more difficult. Nina has not been mentioned but she too should factor into the coming conflicts so stay tuned.
