Phyllis May Find the True Nature of Adam and Chance's Connection

For months on The Young and the Restless, Phillip Chancellor IV's name has been mentioned. First in connection with Adam Newman in Vegas and later in connection with Katherine Chancellor's will. Devon and Jill tried unsuccessfully to reach him and it was said that he was working deep undercover with the government. Cane traveled to Sin City to find his former partner in crime and never found him. Phyllis also went to Nevada attempting to figure out the connection between the Newman bad boy and Jill's grandson. She came away empty as well. Soap Dirt points out that the only known indiscretion of Nina's son is when he had Cane Ashby come to Genoa City using his identity.

Since that time Chance appears to be on the up and up and a good guy working to catch the criminals like Simon Black. Whatever linked Victor Newman Jr. and Phillip the IV has yet to be revealed on The Young and the Restless. Viewers, along with Phyllis are attempting to connect the dots. Last week, after the hostage situation was taken care of, Ms. Summer immediately went to Adam's condo where she found him talking to Chance. She said she knew the two men would be together but did not say why. Thee is something she suspects and she will not stop until she gets the answers she desires. A few weeks back, Adam wrote Ms. Newman a check or 10 million dollars to get her out of his hair and she tore it up in his face.

When Chance dropped from the ceiling of the Grand Phoenix Hotel and knocked Simon down, Adam smacked the gun from Mr. Black's hand. The two men gave each other knowing glances as if they had tag teamed before. This has led some who watch The Young and the Restless to conclude that at some point, Adam may have assisted Chance in apprehending a suspect. Other fans of the CBS daytime drama have suggested that perhaps the two men had a romantic encounter. Whatever the secret between them is, it is taking longer to be revealed than the truth about Katherine's will.

Spoiler alerts for The Young and the Restless have implied that both Abby and Phyllis may have designs on Chance. He seems more annoyed by Ms. Summers in your face attitude than interested romantically. Phillip IV did have a moment with Abby where it looked as if there was a spark between them. All that is mentioned is that Phyllis is seeking information and Adam enlists Sharon's help. Ms. Summers is probably digging for dirt on the two men she keeps hovering over. Adam probably wants Sharon to help with Conner who is having emotional issues due to the hostage crisis.

Celebrating the Soaps indicates that Abby continues her suspicion of Phyllis so all of this could be tied together. Ms. Newman and Ms. Summers are barely able to tolerate each other, therefore they will always be watching one another. They are however in agreement in their distrust of Chelsea and probably want her out of the hotel. In the midst of the issues these women have, they will both be vying for attention from Chance, even if only to vex one another. Phillip IV seems focused and right now wants to figure out the truth about the will. Soap Hub says this coming week he will confirm to Devon that he has been scammed out of his money.

The Young and the Restless writers may have a big reveal coming or Phyllis could be making much ado about nothing. The true nature of the relationship between Chance and Adam could expose the hero as being flawed, or the prodigal Newman as a hero.
