Raine in their BATs outfit, ready to play their violin. The title of the story is next to them.

Eda was home alone, Luz had taken King to the park. She was mindlessly going through her scroll as another announcement video of The Day of Unity came onto the screen. Raine was there. She looked at them longingly, ignoring everything but them, wishing that they could remember who they are and be with her again. The leader of the plant coven gave them a horn of some kind of liquid. She figured out that that drink is what's been brainwashing them a while ago. It pains her to see them take it up to their mouth. Then they blew on it!? It didn't look hot at all? Then she bolted upright. They weren't blowing they were whistling!! They weren't brainwashed at all! They were faking it the whole time!! That troll! She was furious at them but couldn't stay that way for long, she loved them too much, but that doesn't mean that she won't yell at them about this when they finally meet. She sighed, knowing that she couldn't do that either. She knew they had their reasons no matter how stupid they were.

The first thing she needed to do was make sure she was right, and she knew just how to do it. She opened Luz's hexagram account, She did her best not to look at anything. Even though she made it on her scroll, it was Luz's account, so she decided to give her that space to be with her friends. Luckily, she was able to find the messaging part quickly. She found and opened her chat with Hunter, trying not to look at their existing chat, she sent him a message pretending to be Luz.

"Hey Hunter, there's a bard joke that's been going around Hexside that no one will explain to me can you ask Raine if they know what it means?"

"Ok, sure what is it?"

"Only a bat knows how to whistle"

"Yeah, that doesn't make any sense, but I'll see if they know what it means. I think I know where they are."

Ball's in your court now Rainstorm.

Hunter approached Raine's room, they were playing their violin, so he knew they were there. He knocked, and they said they could come in, they had put down their instrument.

"How can I help you, Hunter?" they asked.

"Luz said that there's a bard joke that she doesn't get but wants to know if you do?" Raine started to get anxious again and tried to hide it. Luz is too close to Eda.

"Wh-what's the joke?"

The boy took out his scroll to make sure he read it right. "Only a bat knows how to whistle," He read. So many emotions flooded their mind. Eda knew. In the back of their mind, they knew she would figure everything out, she was smart that way and in every other way.

"It means a bat has nothing to lose," they chose their words carefully.

A confused Hunter messaged "Luz."

Eda stared at her scroll in disbelief, they're doing the self-sacrificing bull shit, Eda typed out her reply, which a confused Hunter read.

"you don't need to be a bat to be willing to whistle for those they care about?"

"Hunter? Can I borrow that?" Raine asked referring to the scroll. The boy gave it to them, knowing that this was not about a school joke.

"That's why I didn't want to tell you Eda, you have kids that need you"

"People that love you" they added.

"Well I love you Raine and I don't want to lose you for a third time," tears formed in Eda's eyes. "I'll talk to my kids to see if this is worth it, WHEN they agree, which they will, we'll talk again," there was a short pause,

"You know no one knows how to get out of trouble like I do Rainstorm." Raine was getting teary as well, they wish that they could be in Eda's arms once again.

They looked up at Hunter who was staring at them.

"Is there a way to delete messages?" they asked awkwardly beating themselves up over not thinking about that earlier.

"I don't think so..."

After a moment of thought, they responded, "don't read it and show this Darius and no one else and do what he says."

The boy nodded and followed orders. Raine didn't want to push this off onto the abomination leader, but he knew Hunter, and the plan better.
