Liesel's return brings trouble

The last that General Hospital fans heard of Liesl Obrecht, she was locked away in prison. Robert Scorpio was supposed to find evidence to prove that Peter August set her up to take the fall for his crimes. On Monday, it was revealed that Liesl is the mastermind behind Dante being sent home to Port Charles on a WSB assignment. His goal is to take down Peter August by revealing that he framed Obrecht for his crimes. Peter ordered a hit on Drew Cain which resulted in his death. He also shot the hitman that he hired to take out Andre and Franco. Robert has been busy searching for Holly and has not been actively trying to help Liesl, at least not on screen.

Someone had to free Obrecht from prison and set her up to be giving orders at the WSB headquarters. The details will probably be made known in time but for now, Katherine Goti's fans are thankful that she has returned to General Hospital. When the truth comes out, Maxie, Britt, and Franco should all be ashamed that they believed Liesl to be guilty. She had no one on her side except Robert, and also Jason and Spinelli. A few weeks back on general Hospital, Spinelli heard Peter talking on tape and thought he finally had the goods on him. Jason told his sidekick that they need evidence that will stick.

Whatever took place that brought Kathlene Gati back to General Hospital, her fans are excited. Seeing her behind that desk on Monday was what a lot of viewers needed to see. Frank Vakentini had given GH viewers a heads up that the woman they love to hate would be back in a few months. Now it seems that she is out for blood, where Peter is concerned and Dante is her secret weapon. He is headed home only to find that much has changed in Port Charles. He really has no right to complain about Lulu moving on, because after all he sent her the divorce papers. He also rejected his mother when Olivia flew to Switzerland to see him.

This adds an entirely new dynamic to what is going on in Port Charles and viewers will be glad to have both Dominic Zamprana as well as Kathlene Gati back with the Genera Hospital family. This indicates that Peter August is abut to be found out which will be sweet justice for Liesl. She will be able to see the man who framed her put away behind bars and also know that the son Anna had with Faison has been shown to be as bad as his father. Robert, Spinelli, and Jason will be glad that justice was served but Maxie's life will never be the same.

Liesel never thoguht about the possiblity of her former daughter in law being pregnant or how this will affect her. It's only right however that the truth is finally revealed. Obrecht's return may lead to a confrontation between Anna and Alex. Viewers are wondering if Peter might actually be the son of Alex rather than her twin. This would make it easier for Anna to accept his crimes. Let's hope Dante is able to focus on his mission and not be distracted by Lulu having moved on, since he initiated all of this by leaving town.

It's always a delight to see Kathleen Gati on screen as she is a wonderful actress. She takes charge as Obrecht and everyone in the room notices her presence. Be on the lookout for updates, spoilers and breaking news regarding Liesl's return to Port Charles. She probably went through hell and high water to get herself released and also to be in a position to take down Peter August. It was shameful that he would use the mother of Maxie's son as his fall guy. This just shows how devious he is. Fans of Wes Ramsey hope his character can somehow be redeemed because they enjoy seeing him on the screen. Time, and Obrecht will be the determining factors.
