Next on 'The Young and the Restless': Chance Seeks Answers, Colin Is Coy, Jill Annoyed and Phyllis Super Sleuths

On Monday's episode of The Young and the Restless the stage was set for several storylines to move along and perhaps be concluded. Devon was shocked when Chance showed up and said he had nothing to do with the new will pages. Devon blasted Phillip IV and said if he had bothered to return a phone call, he would never have signed away his billions. Chance explained that he was on an assignment and was not allowed to make contact. Both men turned on Cane, who insisted he is innocent. Chance said he was going to the Maldives to get his own answers and Cane begged him not to go. It's not clear if Mr. Ashby is trying to save his own skin, his father's or both, but he clearly does not want Jill's grandson to find answers.

Tristan Rogers will only be shown in a couple of episodes of The Young and the Restless but spoilers do not indicate whether or not what he has to say will bring the saga of Katherine's will to a close. The writers are keeping the details of Cane's exit under wraps and viewers are left to speculate. Some believe Cane and his dad planned to steal Devon's inheritance together. Others are certain that Colin did this on his own. Earlier spoilers said that after Jill listens to her former husband's tale, she will not have satisfactory answers, and end up with more questions.

Previews for the next episode of The Young and the Restless show Jill finding her ex husband who has obviously been waiting for her. She is clearly annoyed and confused but Colin is laughing as if he is having the time of his life. A question that will need to be answered is why Cane had no problem with Jill looking for his father, but does not want Chance anywhere near him. This may indicate that Cane has something to hide and will disappoint his ardent fans. They have been sharing on social media that they hope Cane will leave Port Charles with dignity instead of shame, but so far there has been no indication of which way this will go.

While Chance is traveling across the world, Phyllis will be seeking answers about him. Ms. Summers will put on her super sleuth hat and begin digging because she believes there is a secret between Adam and Phyllis. The two men do have something they are hiding and Chance has asked Adam to keep the fiery redhead in line. These men will find out soon enough that Phyllis is like a force of nature. She loves a challenge and will not allow anyone to get in her way. She will continue to dig until she uncovers whatever Adam and Chance don't want her to know.

Previews for this week on The Young and the Restless also show Summer's mom propositioning her father. Phyllis tells the father of her daughter that they are two consenting adults but it's not clear if she is serious. Abby has been telling her business partner to leave her older brother alone, so this could simply be a challenge to get under Abby's skin. Phyllis had been pushing herself on Adam for months until he offered her $10 million to stay out of his orbit. When Chance an Ms. Summers worked together to take down Simon Black they seemed to have a connection but the super sleuthing might kill any chance for romance.

Soap Opera Spy indicates that it will be difficult or Chance and Adam to more forward with Phyllis being such a pest. The men may wish that whatever happened between them in Vegas would remain there, but knowing Phyllis it probably will not. Ms. Summers might stumble onto something that causes her to consider the old adage of: "Be careful what you ask for, you just might get it."
