Michael Easton's amazing and versatile career

From Tanner Scofield to John Mcbain, to Silas Clay and Hamilton Finn this actor remains in high demand. He has also been successful in numerous side projects.

Michael Easton currently portrays doctor Hamilton Finn on ACB's General Hospital where his character just found out that his younger brother is really his son, Dr. Finn slept with his father's fiance the night before the wedding and DNA shows Detective Chase is his child instead of his sibling. The talented actor was born on February 15, 1967 in Inglewood, California and is Irish-American. In addition to being a soap opera veteran he is also a writer and director. Easton was raised and educated in the both the US and Ireland and attended high school and then UCLA when he returned to the United States.

He graduated with a double major in English and History and married model Ginevra Arabia in 2004. The couple has two children a son and a daughter. Lilah Bell, was born on April 15, 2011, and Jack Boru, born on September 7, 2013. Easton has been a daytime drama star for close to 30 years. He began in 1992 portraying Tanner Scofield on NBC's Days of Our Lives for 2 years. During that time he was featured in People Magazine’s “50 Most Beautiful Issue”. He left his soap role behind to care for his mother who was diagnosed with ovarian cancer in 1993. Easton returned to Los Angeles and cared for his mom until she passed away in 1994.

Easton returned to acting in 1995 as Duncan on VR.5 on Fox. He then joined the cast Stephen J. Cannell's Two where he had dual roles as a Seattle professor who is framed for murder by his previously unknown twin. Easton also-wrote the episode “A.D.”, and also penned "The Reckoning" which was the series finale. In 1997 Easton was in 413 Hope Street as a former drug addict and counselor in the inner city. In 1998 the actor was on Ally McBeal and later had a role in The Practice.

The actor went on to the short lived General Hospital spinoff Port Charles as Caleb Morley. In 2003 he began playing Detective John McBain on One Life to Live on ABC. This role lasted 9 years and when OLTL was canceled John McBain went to Port Charles and joined General Hospital. Michael Easton next portrayed Doctor Silas Clay on GH but that character was killed off. He returned a third time to the ABC daytime drama as Infectious disease physician Hamilton Finn.

It's obvious the powers that be at ABC love this man because they keep making room for him on the soaps. Now Dr. Finn who was solo has a daughter, an ex fiancee, a father, a stepmom, and a brother who turned out to be his son. The character has really been developed and both Finn and his portrayer are fan favorites. The actor received a daytime Emmy nomination in 2018 for his GH role.

Michael Easton has been described as a prolific novelist, who is also a director and screenwriter. His 2011 graphic novel trilogy Soul Stealer turned out to be a critical success and received much praise. Easton is a member of the Writers Guild of America, and wrote the screenplay for Daedelus is Dead, a short film based on an unfinished script Jim Morrison who was a member of the Doors.

In 2015, the talented Easton wrote and directed the short films Dreamliner and the award-winning Ultraviolent. Easton wrote a book of poetry titled Eighteen Straight Whiskeys after his mother died and both the first and second editions sold out. The 20th Anniversary Collector's Edition was released in 2018 and was updated with a new cover design and thirty new poems. Michael Easton also wrote a graphic novel titled Soul Stealer so he has been a very busy man indeed. Easton in the author of many other works including The Green Woman for Vertigo Comics,
