Kyle and Summer Begin a New Chapter on 'The Young and the Restless'

Monday's episode of The Young and the Restless turned a corner where two young couples are concerned. Lola and Theo are bonding as friends and he showed himself to be the biggest fan of her food creations. Lola has to work late and Mr. Vanderway was at Society to lend his support. Meanwhile, Kyle and Summer seem to be connecting on a deeper level. They burned the midnight oil at Jabot and found they are a great professional team. At the end of the night Kyle told his former wife that she is more invaluable than she realizes. He caught himself and quickly added” To Jabot,” but the look in his eyes said something quite different.

The son of Jack Abbott and the daughter of Nicholas Newman merging in business and in love will bond their families for life. Together they could take Jabot to new heights. Theo and Lola don’t have any true bonds in Genoa City do their direction is not quite as clear. They seem to genially her connecting with each other and Theo offered to help Lola promote her delicious food. This duo appears to be genially fond of one another and there is no hint of anything appropriate at least not yet. The problem is they don’t have deep roots in Genoa City and at some point will he sent packing.

Theo might take the job with Ashley in Paris and Lola could go with him. She could wow Europeans with her cuisine but that’s getting ahead of things. The writers will no doubt focus on Skyle before they deal with their significant others. One thing that is certain is that there is no love list between Ms. Newman and Mr. Vanderway because they were no more than friends with benefits in the first place. Kyle and Summer were teenage sweethearts and both grew up in the lap of luxury. He has forgiven her for all the games she played since she returned to Genoa City.

Summer did everything she could to annoy Mariah and Tessa, toyed with Kyle who she know loved her and made a bet with him which she lost. Kyle winning meant she would go to bed with him but he refused because he wanted her love. Summer later teased Kyle about her goal to go to bed with Billy and one night she actually did. Kyle let go of the fact she slept with his uncle and began dating Lola. Summer pulled out every trick in the book but did not stop the relationship.

When Lola needed an organ donor Kyle out of nowhere promised to marry Summer if she would be the organ donor. The couple we’d and had some romantic scenes together. Kyle promised his bride one year but walked away much sooner then married Ms. Rosales. These two have had more twists and turns in their young lives than her grandparents? Victor and Nikki who have been off and on for over 30 years.

When on Monday, Kyle told Summer she was invaluable, she looked delighted until he added “ to Jabot.” Both of them are trying to play nice on the surface but deep down each realizes they truly love one another. Phyllis and Mariah will be outraged but they can’t stop destiny because this is inevitable.
