He's baaaaack! Ruthless Victor returns on 'The Young and the Restless'

On Thursday's episode of The Young and the Restless Victor Newman was back to his old tricks. He was standing over Ashton Locke who believed he was having a heart attack. Victor remained calm and controlled as he processed how to use Ashton's misfortune for his own benefit. Victor is determined to obtain Locke's company for his own so that he can allow Adam to run it. This way Victor can have his own way, look out for his son, teach Victoria a lesson and triumph over Billy Boy Abbott.

Longtime viewers of The Young and the Restless will recall that when Victor Newman first came on the scene in Genoa City he was pretty ruthless. He assumed that his wife Julia was having an affair with her photographer Michael Scott and that Scott was the father of her child. A vengeful Victor locked Michael in a bomb shelter and fed him rats. Julia was eventually able to free the photographer but he and Victor got into a fight. Julia intervened and ended up losing her baby which was proven to belong to Victor.

In later years The Newman patriarch blackmailed Michael Baldwin and forced him to pay off retailers to keep Jabot products off the shelves. He then had Jack Abbott kidnapped and hired Peruvian crime lord Marco Annicelli to impersonate him. Marco took over Jack/s life and ended up in bed with a clueless Phyllis who hates Victor to this day for allowing her to think the criminal was her husband. Victor tampered with Sharon's medication for bipolar in an attempt to cause her to have a breakdown. When this did not work he decided to gaslight Sharon, by hiring Mariah Copeland to impersonate her deceased daughter Cassie.

It later turned out that Mariah and Cassie had been twins who were separated at birth so this time Victor's tampering had a silver lining. Among his many dastardly deeds over the decades, Victor shot Jack and tried to cover it up and even attempted to smother his rival with a pillow while he was in the hospital recovering. Victor stood by and watched Skye Lockhart fall into a volcano and then burned down her house to destroy any evidence linking her to him.

These are but a few of the crimes the most powerful man in Genoa City has committed and now he is about to add another notch to his belt. On Friday, Nikki will walk in as Ashton is clutching his chest and Victor is asking him to sign the deal to give Victor his company, Victor announces that he has dialed a 9 and a 1 and will dial the final 1 after Ashton signs the papers. Nikki upbraids her spouse for his reprehensible actions and he shuts her down by saying the conversation is over.

Victoria shows up at the ranch later with Billy close behind. She tells her father that she will run Newman Enterprises on her own terms and does not want him anywhere around. Villy seems to have some memory lapses because no one ever gets the best of Victor and he will now treat them both as enemies. Vickie and Billy Boy will soon find out they have met their match as will Ashland Locke. If indeed Tara's husband is behind the sabotage of Jabot he is now getting a taste of his own medicine. He realizes a little to late that he is no match for the great Victor Newman.
