General Hospital actress was found dead

Variety and other news sources reported earlier today that Robin Bernard, who portrayed Terry Brock from 1984 to 1990 on General Hospital has died. Her body was found dead in an open field behind a business in San Jacinto, California. The Riverside County Sheriff’s Department confirmed the death of the 64-year-old actress on Wednesday. Her cause of death has not been revealed, but the investigation is ongoing so more news is to come.

Bernard was on General Hospital during the days when much of the activity was at the Brownstone when Bobbie Spencer (Jackie Zeman), Felicia Cummings Jones Scorpio (Kristina Wagoner), Robert Scorpio (Tristan Rogers) Sean Donnelley (John Reilly) and Tiffany Hill ( Sharon Wyatt) were front and center. These were the days of big hair and long-time Gh fans will recall their own memories associated with Terry.

Bernard's additional roles

Bernard was born May 26, 1959, in Gladewater, Texas. She began singing gospel songs early with her younger sister Crystal, who was on the NBC sitcom Wings. She made her professional acting debut in the 1981 French thriller “Diva,” Bernard had roles on the television shows “Simon and Simon,” “The Facts of Life” and “Whiz Kids,” after leaving General Hospital.

All about Terry

Terry arrived in Port Charles on Labor Day and was interested in Frisco Jones (Jack Wagoner). She was D.L. Brock's (David Groh) daughter and she saw Kevin O'Connor (Kevin Bernhardt) strangle Earl Moody (Bruce Hayes). In the summer of 1985, Robyn started drinking and had trouble beginning her singing career. She married Kevin in February 1986 and after that was known as Robyn O'Connor.

Lucy Coe (Lynn Herring) tried to drive her crazy by posing as a librarian. She was framed for the murders of Sheriff Broder and Ted Holmes by Sarah Simon, who blamed her for Earl's death.

The good old days in Port Charles

After Duke Lavery's (Ian Buchannan) presumed death in 1989, Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) decides to sell Duke's club to Terri. It reopened in July 1989 and Frisco performed at its reopening. She dated Kevin's brother Patrick until he didn't want her to pursue her music career, and she also became lovers with Dusty Walker (Shaun Cassidy). When she got a recording contract in 1990, Terry left Port Charles.

Benard's death brings memories of Harrison Wagoner

Hearing that Robyn Bernard was found behind a building brought back memories of Kristina and Jack Wagoner's son Harrison who was found dead in a store parking lot. Bernard may have died of natural causes but some GH fans are saying there is the chance of foul play or that she OD'd. No one knows for certain until an autopsy report is given.

Robyn is said to have retired after her final role as a psychologist in the 2002 film “Voices from the High School.” There is no record of what she has been doing for the past decades or of her marrying or having children. Whatever her cause of death it is sad that she was found behind a building and left thsi world at 64.

Be on the lookout for updates

There is no one in Port Charles today on General Hospital who had a lasting tie to Terry but fans recall the beautiful young woman and are troubled to hear of her death. Robyn Bernard is survived by her father, Jerry Wayne Bernard, and her sisters, Crystal and Scarlett. Condolences to her family, friends, and her many fans. Be on the lookout for updates related to Bernard's death, and continue watching GH on weekday afternoons on ABC.
