Where are Max and Milo

The one thing constant with daytime drama shows is change and writers do not always heed the voices of the people who keep their programs on the air. This is especially true right now regarding General Hospital. Decisions have been made that really upset a lot of loyal viewers and the powers that be are continuing the trend. Across social media fans of the ABC daytime drama are scratching their heads at the choices that have been made during the past 5 or 8 months. No one understands why beloved characters are removed and new ones put in their place.

Viewers had fallen in love with Ashton Arbib who portrayed Dev Corbin and were looking forward to seeing the teen fall in love. Dev was really fitting in with the Corinthos family when he was killed in the explosion at the Floating Rib. Dustin also died and Lulu is in a coma in a long term care facility. Roger Howarth's character Franco died so he is off screen for a while. It's believed he will return as someone different but nobody knows when. This decision really had fans wondering what the writers were thinking. The shocking deaths of Drew Cain and Julian Jerome continue to be sore spots with many viewers. William deVry and Billy Miller were fan favorites and those who watch General Hospital did not want to see the go.

The rumor mill suggested that General Hospital was axing popular characters because of budget troubles due to COVID regulations. If that were true then why is Port Charles and the surrounding area being flooded with new characters who are here today, will be gone tomorrow and that fans do not care to get to know? The storyline with Sonny and Nina is rubbing many viewers the wrong way. Both characters need to be back in Port Charles taking care of business but instead, they are in Nixon Falls where 3 new characters reside. Phyllis, Lenny, and Elijah, will disappear once "Mike" remembers who he is.

General Hospital fans are saying on Facebook and other social media sites that they do not like stories being centered on Pentonville prison. Viewers have also expressed a dislike for mob wars yet the writers are ignoring them. Sean Blakemore is returning as Shawn Butler who has been imprisoned for quite a while in Pentonville. Many fans are hoping his storyline will be completed and he will finally get out of jail. What viewers do not desire to see is Sean and Jason inside of Pentonville fighting against other inmates, GH lovers desire the action to take place outside of a prison cell. Alexis is in the women's side of the prison and quite a few new characters have joined her. There is her cellmate Maggie and Hilda the woman who is trying to start a fight with her.

Cameron Matheson has been hired as an unnamed character who is headed to Port Charles and Caitlyn Reily the daughter of John Reily who played Sean Donely will join the cast as Annie the daughter of Sean and his wife Tifanny Hill. Soap fans do not like all these comings and goings and prefer to watch longtime characters grow and change. Viewers enjoy becoming invested in the shows they watch and learning the peculiarities of the townspeople on the soaps. Fans love to figure out what a character's next move is which is different than having predictable storylines.

General Hospital viewers like to see drama at the Quartermaine mansion with the Q's backstabbing one another but this has not been a part of the show for quite a while. Fans also enjoy drama that is centered around the hospital which has been lacking lately. Some who watch GH wonder why Max and Milo Gianbetti were written out as they were fan favorites. Others would like to see more of Felix and Epiphany except when it's time for the nurse's ball. Lets hope the executive producer and head write get it together before ratings drop any further.
