The Clay twins have turned 1-year-old

In the midst of the chaos and drama on General Hospital surrounding Baby Ace the youngest member of the Cassadine clan, his portrayers have reached an important milestone. Twins Jay and Joey Clay turned one year old on July 20th and their fans are delighted. Their Instagram page shows their mother's name as Lana but does not list their father's name although he is in many images with his beautiful sons.

The boys have been getting birthday greetings all across social media and their parents must be so proud of them. From the moment these adorable siblings debuted in February they stole the hearts of the cast as well as those watching GH. At first General Hospital fans were stunned to see such a large baby portraying a newborn but this was quickly explained.

Covid regulations, would not allow ABC to use a newborn out of health concerns so the 4-month-old twins were hired for the job. GH viewers believe this was the ideal choice and are enjoying seeing the children grow up right before their eyes. Fans were startled, to say the least when Ace first appeared because he was humungous, General Hospital fans made a lot of jokes about his size but eventually began to accept a larger child in the role of a newborn.

Whos Esme's baby daddy?

Esme also looked strange holding such a large child in her arms and talking as if he were several months younger. The cast and those who watch the soap fell in love with Ace even though he could turn out not to be a Cassadine. The timeline is wrong for Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chaves) to be the father of the little boy he believes is his half-brother unless history is changed. Some General Hospital fans believe Esme slept with OZ Haggarty (Max Faugno) whiles others think someone else may be Ace's dad.

Some General Hospital fans are wondering if Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl) put Ace on her son's birth certificate as his official name and some have pointed out that no one knows what his middle name is. The identity of the boy's bio dad has been placed on the back burner for now but it could become a big storyline in the future. GH fans are eagerly waiting to find out without a doubt who Esme's baby daddy really is and how will this information affect the relationship between Trina and Spencer.

Can Trina and Spencer survive?

Since returning to Port Charles their romance has been placed on hold and Sprina fans who had hope during the ordeal with Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy) feel cheated. During the scenes in Greenland, the actors who interacted with Ace seemed delighted and the child was absolutely adorable. Now, Portia Robinson (Brooke Kerr) is letting Spent his living with Esme alone in Laura Collins's (Genie Francis) apartment with his brother and Esme is a bit too much for Trina. It would be a shame if Esme used her son to tear Sprina apart because it's clear she definatly has feelings for him.

Jay and Joey Clay have grown on fans

Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chaves), Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali), and Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stewart) all were really having a good time with the little boy. In the meantime, viewers can continue to enjoy the Clay twins unless GH decides to SORAS (rapidly age) them. A very Happy first birthday to the Clay twins and may they have many more. Hopefully, they will continue portraying Ace for a very long time. Be on the lookout for updates related to General Hospital Baby Ace and Jay and Joey Clay
