General Hospital: The severe consequences of Willow being Nina's daughter

Spoilers for General Hospital are saying that Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) may soon be revealed as the twin sister of Nelle Benson (Chloe Lanier). If this happens there will be a lot of fallout and more harm than good initially. Let's take a look at all the players who are involved and what this revelation will mean for each of them.

Willow

On Tuesday's episode of General Hospital Willow told Michael Corinthos (Chad Duel) that there is no record of a birth certificate in her name. This does not make logical sense considering Ms. Tait was once a school teacher. How did she obtain a degree and get a job without being able to prove who she is? How is it the hospital hired her under these circumstances?

Willow will be shocked when this truth is revealed and it will cause friction yet again between her and her mother. This would also explain the pull that she has towards Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) and Willow's desire to help Nina spend time with Wiley. The two women are reaching an understanding in their once volatile relationship so the news might be welcome to them both once they get over the initial shock.

Harmony

Harmony Miller (Inga Cadranel) will be in the hot seat for keeping the secret that Willow is adopted. Some General Hospital fans will recall that at one point last year Harmoney made a statement about choosing Willow but nothing ever came of it. Holding onto this secret had robbed Willow of her true identity and time that she could have been spending getting to know her real mother.

It's not clear how Nina's babies were separated or how Harmony ended up with Willow but these issues will be worked out in time. Still, Harmony has a lot of explaining to do and might lose her relationship with her daughter as well as visitation with her grandson Wiley Corinthos (Viron Weaver). Harmony told Alexis that she simply did not record Willow's birth because she was in the cult but viewers believe there is much more to this than meets the eye.

Michael

Michael will not like having Nina for his actual mother in law and he will not want Willow to have empathy for her. He especially is not going to want Nina around Wiley so this is complicated. There is already some distance between "Millow" regarding how to handle Nina and Michael does not know that Willow is working behind his back to help Wiley's grandmother spend more time with the little boy. This is going to cause a lot of strain on the relationship especially since Michael blames Nina for his parents' problems.

Sonny

Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) has already been exhibiting kindness towards Nina and finding out he is Willow's mom will only make him more compassionate towards her. Now he will become even more distanced from Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) and Michael and the Corinthos family will be even more fractured. Sonny, Nina, and Willow might form a bond that will alienate Carly and Michael.

Nina

Nina will be stunned to know that she had twins but will be overjoyed that she still has a living daughter. This will be bitter-sweet because Nelle is dead but at least Nina can stop saying she no longer has a daughter. She will naturally have a lot of questions and will be happy that she and Willow no longer hate each other. She will probably believe this will gain her easy access to her grandson in spite of Carly and Michael.

Phyllis

All eyes will be on Phyllis Caulfield (Joyce Guy) and she will have to explain what happened all those years ago. Phyllis does not look like the type of person to hide the fact that Nina gave birth to twins so perhaps she didn't know. It's possible that Nina's mom Madelyn made arrangements for the girls to be separated at birth. If so, then General Hospital will have to tie everything in together regarding how Willow ended up with Harmony.

Carly and Nelle lived together for a short time and neither mentioned anything about another sister so there is no telling how this storyline will turn out. Phyllis could be completely innocent or perhaps she is hiding something that she felt was better left unsaid.

Carly

Carly will be affected by this revelation more than anyone because she hates Nina. She will see this as a way for Willow to side with her birth mom in regard to Wiley. Carly is going to hate this and in her eyes, her sworn enemy is gaining ground with her grandson and her husband. This will drive a bigger wedge between Carlson and possibly send Sonny right to Nina.
